You know what I find interesting about Tate? All her success is earned. She never toured with a bigger act. She had no prebuilt Disney/Nickelodeon audience. Her albums aren't loaded with features. She has no connection to Taylor Swift. And she is controversy free. She is entirely self made.

This! And I think is what gets the people who hate her so heated. She established herself in the industry without having to play the usual game of opening for a larger artist or securing an A list feature/co-sign to gain the interest of their fans. I think the section of stan twitter/reddit who hate her resent the fact that she became established without needing their stamp of approval. No one else in her generation has done this. Billie, Olivia, Chappel, Tyla, Sabrina, Gracie all had the backing of an A Lister.

I have an unbiased opinion: it's hard to compare Britney and Tate because Tate is a dance PRODIGY who is classically trained and Brit was more of a gymnast who can dance. Britney had dance training but nowhere as extensive as Tate. Brit was a great dancer especially 2000-2004 Wade Robson work with her was amazing. I would say her style of dancing is more staccato like Janet Jackson and the Choreo that was more early 2000's. So if we're talking about techniques then Tate win hands down b/c she has been winning every dancing competition since she was 6. The girl was runner up of SoYouThinkYouCanDance for crying out loud! lol she could dance every style of dance there is. So she can outdance EVERY pop-star there is but also many professional dancers as well! BUT when it comes to performing and STAGE PRESENCE: BRITNEY in her Prime wins for me. She has these INTENSE passionate expressions, perfect fit body, face card, and how she works the stage that really draws you in. The way Brit perform had more dramatic feelings almost theatrical. Tate keeps her expressions a lot of the time neutral. Tate even though technically flawless, is lacking in this department for me. She doesn't have that powerful robust stage presence and expressions like Brit had (yet). Watch Britney's Dream Within a Dream Tour and see why. Don't watch Britney after 2006, she went through a lot of mental breakdown and didn't recover. I love them both, i would take a little bit of each of their strengths and combined them.

I fully agree with you about the comparison of Britney and Tate I lowkey been afraid to say what you said because the Britney fans would be triggered lol but yes like Britney is a good dancer for a non-professional dancer but she at times can be stiff but Tate you are very right she is so fluid, clean and technically on point like she isn't an average dancer she literally started out as a dancer and that's how I have known of Tate because I saw her on so you think you can dance like she isn't one of the pop girls who learn to dance when they became a pop star for Tate she took dance very seriously and started very young and was well trained but in general I feel like the only reason why people compare Tate and Britney is because they're both white woman who can dance but also because it's been a long time since we had a white pop girly who can give us stage presence and full on choreography but like I don't get the comparisons because for me Tate and Britney aesthetic/style and music are so different in comparison

Brittney could dance and give a 567 shimmy twirl but she NEVER gave breakdowns and choreography like this. IF WE MUST- then Tate has BEEN in her slave for u/3/circus bag but it's SOOOOO much more nuanced and has that much more aura and energy. Tate brings a technicality and cleanness to the pop star moniker that we just HAVEN'T SEEN since the Ciara's, the Janet Jackson's, your Pussycat Dolls and Britney's WERE IN the pop game. We're used to nuanced videos and a quick 8 count for the VMA stage. Tate has CONTINUALLY come out swinging with high choreography, single take shot breakdown and performances that ONE UP the videos. Sean Bankhead has found the muse he's been looking for. He's been SO MANY artists vision and have SO many hits a visual to match. But this hits SO much different than a On My Mama I keep saying Sean & Tate is a LETHAL combination. Greedy Kisses & Its Okay I'm okay have been GENRE SHAKING

My opinion is that Tate is a better dancer than Brit. I'm 38 and am a full on Brit fan. Tate has a more versatile style than Brit. Love them both, but Tate just has a broader dance range.

They're both great dancers, both were child stars, both of them have an unique high tone to their voice, they got famous and signed at basically the same age, Tate's songs sound very 00s which is what Britney defined. i think the comparisons are mainly made because they both can dance and have good stage presence, not rly cuz of the legacy or hits. obviously nobody can ever be britney but looking at the current up and coming/main pop girls, i think tate reminds ppl of britney the most.
