Jesus told him to sell his earthly possessions and follow him...the man went away sad. Not wanting to sell his riches. Jesus said open your hand to the poor and needy. We are supposed to use money as a tool for bringing souls to the kingdom of God. We are to be investing in and building up treasures and rewards in heaven....not on earth where things erode. Rust, perish in fire etc. ........ seek the kingdom of God FIRST and all else will be added unto you!!!

I’ve been really struggling with this and I didn’t know how to explain it ; Thank you for clarifying this . I’m 22 and I thought I had to separate my material desires completely from myself as I became more conscious; I would feel guilty for wanting nice things or if someone had a desire bag I would think they where not spiritual or Conscious and that is Not true . So true. Right now im easing the reins up in my life and being at peace about who i am, what i have, and what im able to give myself and others. knowing that I’m deserving of quality as well. I began to wake from reading things I was told I shouldn't turned into a lifelong habit of reading all kinds of 'hard' subjects just for the sake of Knowing. And it led me to grasping the fundamental principles of the universe and the manifest mind of God. This knowledge uplifted and reduced me at the same time....we are PART of the Creator and not an insignificant one at that, but we are also microscopic at this stage of existence! I am happy yet also lonely in this wakening. Many aren't ready for Gnosis. Ignorance is blissful in a way. But now I want to live my remaining mortal span with...gusto, appreciation, and passion I lacked prior because of my preoccupation with meeting everyone else's expectations of me. I failed at that. Lol this is literally me! I'm on a journey of relearning myself after fasting for 30 days and God has opened up my eyes and ears to things I already knew! Woke is a political term I find distasteful. We are awake, not political, we are God's people, his children, we can make money and have good lives, there is absolutely no reason not to be successful and build generational wealth. I am not there yet, but I will be. I started with nothing, living in the projects of YO , crack addicted father, mother abandoned me, dad ended up in prison for trying to bring drugs out of Jamaica 🇯🇲. Was homeless as a teenager and became drug addicted myself, went to prison, but I came home with a fire in my heart, again homeless, but I started to climb, didn't waste money , acted broke even when I had money, got a little bit of money and started investing, and buying silver, and kept working saving, investing, rinse repeat rinse repeat. The key is to not spend money you don't have to, live as humble as possible, have nice suit for meetings or important things, but ither then that spend nothing, need nothing, build , I'm not rich by a Longshot, but I have a five bedroom home, truck, bank account, investments working for me, but I still live as humble as possible I have no wants or needs, I have goals that I must reach with the life i have left for my children and their children, for me I have the greatest wealth , my lord and savior guiding my steps!
