He treated his kids like step-kids? EXACTLY! Deon treats his players like they are HIS biological kids! There is a difference. The difference is night and day. This is a new era in football. Deon is here! It’s OVER for these slave driver programs. Deon didn’t just come through the door 🚪, he kicked the door down!!!

As a former Buff who has attended some of his practices there is much more here. He is inspiring the kids, guiding the kids and teaching them to be good men. Additionally, he has standards and is uncompromising on those standards. He is not just building great players he is building good men. The best part is he loves those kids and is a great mentor. If my son wanted to play college ball I would want Coach Prime as his coach. Not just from a football perspective.

I'm a white dude and I grew up idolizing the greats like emmit Smith, Eddie George, Walter Peyton, Deon Sanders, Michael Irvin, Magic Johnson, MJ, Shaq and many other black athletes. I wanted to be just like them. Same for all my friends so I just don't understand why these legends are being held back from passing their knowledge down through coaching. I mean seriously dont we have bigger problems in today's world than race? Black people are better athletes so there are more of them in pro sports. Since there are more professional black athletes then there should be more black coaches because they are more knowledgeable about the game with there level of experience.

To some being a great pro athlete doesn't equate to smarts. Some view them as brain dead individuals just doing what they are told by someone who's a genius coaching them. It's a well known trope that blacks are not considered smart enough to coach or play quarterback. That Trope was created because of racism and as a way to hold back the progression of people of color, The sad truth .

As a white male and maybe it my generation….I’m F-ing happy Deon is coaching. Just like him as a 2 sport professional (still like Bo Jackson better) he forced others to change. He’s doing it again. I feel this will open the door to former players to become coach and allow them to build a staff the way they want. Coach Prime is changing college football forever and the better. Let’s see in the spring, how many men want to play at CU. I’m assuming there will be men coming as walk-on more than any other college team.

First of ALL, I’m absolutely, extremely happy for Deion Sanders and his son for handling pressure in such a calm and well reserved and well deserved win. This proved what the media and those in power have been going out of their ways to prevent a prevent and well qualified coach from being given the opportunity to coach at a college or professional levels, because these medias know for a fact that if the black man is give the opportunity to coach college or professional athletes their way they will have athletes believing and also the most important thing of all these athletes can relate to this coach, I don’t dive a damn if they black or white athletes. Deion had every obligations to start the Colorado program his way and respect the the school, the chancellor, the athletic director and president for allowing Deion to do things his way and not trying to force him to do things their way or any ways that would have set him up for failure. Black men are just as qualified or are even better candidates for head coaching jobs but are denied because, well let’s me honest and let the obvious be known, and the obvious is that white men will be out of head coaching jobs and it will make white men look inferior to black coaches which is what the media don’t want to world to see. And also these big time institutions want to or try their best to say or keep the black men in check or under control by saying the black men is not a head coach material and kill or destroy the black men pride in what he knows he can do much much better than the white men. At the end of the day the Colorado Buffaloes instituted are very intelligent for making this deal happen because Deion will bring more recruits and many trophies to this institution. And most importantly MONEY.

Assuming the team can win a number of games this year and the TCU was not a fluke, he will have his pick of the best players in the country next year. Having said that, there are only so many roster spots on one team. Plenty of elite talent will be on other teams. I think this probably hurts the Alabama's and Georgia's of the NCAA but it won't hurt college football writ large. Now, other unknown programs will be looking at coaches they might have never considered before, many of them black coaches. That will be good for the sport.

Deion is one of a kind. How many Prime Times have there been over the last 40 years. 1. How come all the other players like him didnt do what Deion did as personal promoter etc ? Cause they aren't Deion, doesn't matter what they look like or where they came from. The bigger concern everyone should have is how long is Deion gonna coach once his sons are done. Eddie George isnt even remotely a similar caliber as Deion. Hardly anybody of this generation knows who Eddie George is. How many ex-players that would garner any kind of interest from kids would want to go through through the rigors of what it takes to be a good coach? Who wouldn't want to learn or talk with Deion on anything? Not only did he change the game as far as a CB/KR and a two sport athlete but even more so he changed the game of sports in regards to promotion and salesmanship. He changed an entire culture. He literally changed the way people think about and believe in themselves and how they foster positive thoughts into successful action. He wasn't /isn't just another football player. Seems more like devaluing what and how good Deion really is by suggesting the next guy can just do the same cause of what he looks like or simply by where he comes from.

It's bad for them, because most Coaches, Recruits & Colleges are still acting like it's 2010. Deion is acting like it's 2023. He's taking advantage of the Transfer Portal like it's Free Agency & NIL, which Saban hates & constantly bitches about, to his advantage. Whether he's successful or not, he's changing the way College Teams are assembled. I hate to use the term, because it's not a fair comparison. But for a lack of a better word, Deion is basically playing "Moneyball" with College Football while everyone else is resisting the change. And like, Billy Beane & the A's did in the early 2000's, if Deion is ultimately successful, he will have changed the College Football Game for years to come as others will follow & try to replicate it. That's the way I see it.

In other words, they COMPLETELY shot themselves in the foot and they know it. Thats why I love King Jesus, I love seeing his intelligence and how he whips the "OPP" up, down and sideways. The "play" I'm hoping I'm still alive to see from him is, how he takes down these countries who trust in their nuclear weapons in their hold on the continent of Africa. The situation in "Gabon" is a pawn move, and the TRUE SAINTS are observing our King's work. Do you realize there has been 8 coups in one-time French colonies in Africa since 2020? Thats 8 different countries who overthrew " puppet sellouts" to France. What does this mean? The 8 countries are in WEST AFRICA. If you Google...map of 1747 Kingdom of Judah, right next to the Gold Coast is the Slave Coast. Look on top of the Slave Coast you'll see...KINGDOM OF JUDAH. Thats where the American Black is from. Judah is God's chosen people. Guinea is NOW, is where THE SLAVE COAST was. These countries are in WEST AFRICA. My people....Google, ACTUAL SIZE OF AFRICA. Now you'll understand the panic France and the rest of these colonizers are feeling right now.

When you consider that Colorado returned 9 scholarship athletes from a team that won 1 game last year and look at the performance they put out game 1, even if it was one of the bottom contenders of the conference it would be a huge upset much less TCU (agree, not exactly a powerhouse but typically a competitive team). What Coach Prime did turning that team around this fast is simply staggering. I'm hoping he goes to the NFL because what he would do at a powerhouse program in a football state like FSU is going to be ridiculous. Also, the idea that Eddie George should have be given the OSU coaching job is rather silly. Even Prime Time had to prove himself at a lower division then gradually step up before eventually moving to a powerhouse program (which is likely to happen in 1-3 years). Eddie George may turn out to be a decent coach but he will have to work his way up like everyone else.

It was a big game for Deion and he came thru with a decent win over a ranked team. But despite the initial success, it's just the start of the season. Obviously they're not gonna run over 100 plays every game, that's more about TCU only having 3 returning starters on defense, and it's a good thing they were able to put 45 up on TCU because their defense stunk. They got a lot of work to do, but hey, opening game had to feel good for Buffalo Nation. I'm curious though how they move forward to the next game, because let downs after big wins occur often in college. Luckily they face a Nebraska team that's fell on hard times, and Colorado State has fallen off too recently, so they may get a 3-0 start, and just may be ranked by then. Then comes the rough part of the schedule and it's gonna gonna be a few games til they get another win. But all they need is 6 wins to go bowling, and that would be an accomplishment for a first year coach on a team trying to emerge out of the darkness.

Deion has set the bar high, which is good. Unfortunately, the minute CU loses, then you are going to hear all of the exaggerated conversations of oHHH... IS CU really ready for prime time, do they really believe? All i have to say to those folks, is stand-by and watch God work. What will really shock the world is if, the whole football team accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior. THAT WILL BE MORE POWERFUL THAN ANY WIN ON THE SCORE BOARD.

Usually great players don't make great coaches but Deion is the exception. I believe he will win a national championship one day and may even coach in the NFL one day. The buzz alone is must see tv. This by far is one of the most entertaining things to happen to college football in years.
