It’s Race Day! IHRA Real Steel Darlington Dragway

Let's go......It's race day at Darlington Dragway for IHRA Real Steel...... Last night, testing went great and we ended the night with a personal best so we have high hopes for todays race. This is the first year IHRA is running this class, and Randy's car fits the class perfectly with a 5000 dollar purse......let's see if we can make this thing rock and roll and get a win.......if we can race.....the weather is not looking great...

Wow I didn’t know the IHRA even existed anymore. Haven’t heard anything about them in years.

Yeah, they still running the Big Cubic Inch Engines in the Pro Stock Cars, compared to the 500 Inch limit in the NHRA Pro Stocks. IHRA running Mountain Motors. Actually even now the NHRA has a Mountain Motor Pro Stock Class that races only at a couple major events throughout the season, i believe it's a smaller field, like 8 cars,than there regular Pro Stock Class, and they running Carburetors and Hood Scoops on the Mountain Motor cars, like the old days, not Fuel Injection.
