I ran against a friend a bunch of times, he was playing Spell Hunter, I was playing; Razza Priest (4-6.) Pirate Warrior (3-7) Weapon Rogue (10-0. Seems to be a hard-counter to Spell Hunter. I think It's because Blade Flurry + Life Steal on Kingsbane will completely wipe the enemy board and heal you to full.) Tempo Mage (5-5, but I had really good draws.) Evolve Shaman (2-8, lmao.) Crusher Shaman (7-3. You're basically playing the same deck, except you've much bigger minions and more efficient board-clears, but you suffer a lot more from worse draws.) Big Priest (1-9. Didn't get Barnes on 4 a lot but even when I did, It'd usually end up with my Barnes attacking into a Wandering Monsters and my summoned minion attacking into a Freezing Trap, or he just wouldn't play anything for me to kill the obsidian statue into.) All in all, a fairly strong deck.

I am trying on this deck too; so far my experience: - Cobold Librarian a must have (Minion + refilling your hand) - Amethyst Spellstone for healing yourself + remove weaker or stronger minions - When Cataclysm (Cc) is on your starting hand + Malchezaar's Imp - Good Draw Engine to refill your Hand - In case of a missing Cc in your hand: Put some Shields (Voidwalker, Lord of Void, Lakkari Fellhound) in your deck; recruit them by Chance - Have enoug spells to get enough control (Hellfire for cleaning board, Spells with Lifesteal) - In case of Cc, add powerful Deathrattle-Effects to trigger (useful when Cc drawn late --> Recruit Demons per Deathrattle) - Of course: Clutchmother and Silverware-Golems! I think this kind of deck will be my only Wild-deck with Discard-cards from previous Expansions. But I haven't tried it in Ranked Mode, only in casual for testing the first strategies.

It's Midrange/Control Hunter. If you go face with it, you run out of steam very quickly and die from lack of cards. You HAVE to have board control with Spell Hunter, or you have a guaranteed loss, so burning all your damaging abilities on face is stupid.

Well, you guys don't realize he was actually probably smart, he started being aggressive after the quest got done, the problem with lone hunt hunter is that they are going to run out of spell, they cannot deal with infinite imps, especially with the few minions they have, making the board control strategy completely mute, he thus needed to end the game as soon as possible, even if he didn't have the weapon, which he did making it even smarter, had he played differently he'd have lost much quicker. And did you guys not see how close he actually got to winning even ? And he didn't or barely got burn with the weapon. Lone hunt hunter is NOT an aggro deck, but you have to know when and how to adapt to your match ups, just like with many decks

Those decks take a bit of skill, just because you are playing a tier 1 deck does not give you a free pass to rank 1, which traps those players at rank 20 where they highroll enough to make them think they are good. At rank 16, you have skilled people running trash decks (either out of lack of cards or for fun) and they cant climb as quickly. I hit rank 16 with my C'Thuun deck all the time.

True, but if your goal is to farm for gold then you would use something like aggro druid. you only get gold for a win, and a bot could play it. also who uses an 10k + dust deck to farm low ranks. my main point was the 2 decks OP was talking about are MUCH more complex than 1. play dudes 2. buff them 3. SMOrk and need to be played properly to climb

I'm currently 13-6 with spell hunter. It's pretty great against the kingsbane rogues, solid against warlock (the strat is to kill them before they can gul'dan), and the mirror is (not) surprisingly whoever pops off their spellstone first. Those are the main deck archetypes i've been playing against. I can see it struggling against swarm paladin and possibly priest decks. Edit: I forgot to add secret mage. I think I'm 2-1 against them. It honestly all depends on if you can get the correct removal for their 3 hp minions (bow, flanking strike, the 1 of flare ruins them if you draw it)

The cards in this deck look difficult to replace - but for maximum memes - drakkari enchanter would put 12 damage on the board and enable sea giants or 20 damage burst with Mal'ganis. (It even rhymes with lakkari)

What are you guys talking about ? I don't know about now, but over the 24 first hours lone hunt hunter had the highest winrate in constructed with the stats of the deck tracker, so with thousands and thousands of games. I don't know if it' still the one highest, but it's still at the top atm

ofratsandmen Its only the first few days of the expansion, never ever say a deck will remain tier 1 after the first week or two of the expansion. After the first week or two spell hunter will either not be able to go against more refined decks or change into a better list. Look at control warlock, in the beginning of the expansion ut was insane with an amazing winrate, but after a week it start falling down the ladder and soon it became a tier 4 or tier 3 (depending on your own meta) deck that barely hangs on the ladder.

I never even mentionned a tier list, just stated that it had the highest winrate over the 24 first hours, I did even specify "first". But the one highest winrate over 24 hours nad thousands and thousands of games, when many people were even still playing razakus for instance, it won't be a weak deck. It might drop and face difficult match up in the meta, but it won't be tier 4 or lower (and do you have the stats for control warlock at the start of last expansion, I'm actually interested). It wasn't the highest winrate though, it was murloc pally (which at the end of last expansion was not the mot played deck, but it had a better winrate in high ladder than razakus, druids and keleseth rogue according to the blizz devs), followed by jade druid and priests. And just saying it doesn't have the card to work is even more wrong than saying it could drop really low in the tier list

Even if you would the deck is still shit. Look at the first game; Trump was losing even after playing turn 5 Portal, but managed to cheese a win by getting an incredibly lucky topdeck. In the second game he was just playing a worse version of a Midrange Warlock deck. In the third game he barely won against a Spell Hunter, that should also be a big indication.

You would need to get their hand full first, THEN play King 9mana, otherwise they'll take 1 point of fatigue and then just give you your empty deck back. :v On the other hand, you could play wild and use a self-mill druid then go for an Avian + Kun + King + Brann + Coldlight + Coldlight OTK. :3

Futuristic271 It is not about playing it at turn 8. The way I see it is, whenever a mage plays aluneth, the tactic changes, opponent will try to survive till the mage fatigues, because there is no way you outvalue the mage. So, when you play King T., you are basically winning an extra turn before taking fatigue damage, you are drawing 3 cards from opponents deck (possibly breaking a combo), you are getting a 5/5 body and they have to waste 5 mana in order to continue playing. I think it is reasonable.

littlej21 Eeeh, I think it's kinda debatable at that point in the game. He knew Nether Portal was coming so he had to finish quickly or lose. He probably gambled on Rhok'delar giving him at least some burst damage, which is a quite reasonable gamble usually, it just didn't work out in this instance. If it did, Trump would've been done for.

Trump saying 2x 3,2s for warlock is 5mana value every turn -.- Flame imp 1 mana 3,2 Netherportal summons 2ximps every turn with the same stats as flame imp without drawbacks. Netherportal value is 2 mana a turn needing intense drawback before you can play it for 5mana I dont get why netherportal summons imps anyways :/ succubus is already a basic 4,3 warlock card that would make way more sence. I mean think about it, you start a quest to get immense power whatever the cost. And when you play the card its so powerfull it rips a friggin hole to the twisting NETHER. . . And then you summon imps like wtf
