When we talk about the midfield we tend to talk about individual players and abilities etc. but the thing which Rodgers does so uniquely well (and why in my opinion this is the best version of any Celtic midfield since O'Neil) is he builds relationships and understandings between players WHILE retaining variance in how they use the ball and how they attack the opposition. It's an absolute joy to watch.

Hi BHOYS , How many decades are we talking about , cos I've seen far stronger defences in the 60 s / 70 s than we have now , and I say this with TOTAL RESPECT to the BHOYS we have at the moment . There are still teams in Europe that can still open us up like a can of worms , and I'm not talking about Barca , Real . We need a couple of enforcers at the back that can also play a bit . Our BHOYS at the moment are too " gentlemanly " but I love the flare they bring . Anyhow this is the opinion of an auld full back from the 80 s , when a tackle ABOVE the neck was still LEGAL !!!!! .
