250ml (1 cup) vegetable stock or any
1 garlic clove

65g (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
Any frying oil
Sauce:
1/2 shallot
1 tbsp capers
2 tbsp mayonnaise

You know, my dad was WWII Army medic. He cooked the most basic meals possible. One he did that I loved immensely was a very, very simple potatoes and onions, in a cast iron skillet using the old Crisco. Healthy? Probably not. Tasty? You better believe it. Monkeybar Monkeyman, My grandma used to make a simple potato recipe too. I believe the flour adds like maybe a mojo taste to it. As For the 1st recipe it looked really delicious. My grandma used to Mince potatoes and carrots put it into ground beef, And then put it into Corn tortillas and make tacos they were so delicious😋. Have a nice day💯.

The first dish seems to be a German variant of the English cottage pie. The latter uses mashed potatoes on top and does not have tomatoes as an ingredient. It's one of my favourite comfort foods, but I must try this German version, which is slightly easier and quicker to make. ❤️
