That being said we've communicated some of the major scenes missing y'all have communicated to us in the comments and our editor will be making sure those missing scenes get added to the full Harry Potter binge video once we wrap up all 8 movies and upload that binge. He also will be making a point to double check big moments for future uploads to avoid these missing moments in the future. If there's something big missing feel free to put it here so we can make sure we don't miss anything too important when we add some scenes back to the binge video in the coming weeks. Muggleborn students are visited by a professor and handed a letter. Like harry was shown around Diagon Alley by Hagrid Muggleborns are taken by an official of the school to acquire their supplies and informed of everything. The muggleborns parents are also taken to see the world if they wish when a professor visits and takes their child for their supplies. The parents would have been told how to reach the platform or if a professor will need to accompany the child instead.

This is never explained in the movies but a Squib is a child of a witch or wizard (or both) who can't use magic, so most of them end up living like regular muggles. However, they still have the magical genes in them and it's possible that a descendant of theirs can be born with magical abilities. What I love the most about the whole series, both books and movies, are Fred and George’s friendship with Harry and I really wish people talked about it more as they do with Ron’s friendship with Harry. It’s a bit dialed down in the movies, but from the first book the twins were actually very kind to Harry and offered to help him with his trunk because he couldn’t lift them up on the compartments (before they even know that he was *the* Harry Potter and just saw this really scrawny kid on the train struggling with his heavy luggage) and they also treat him like he’s just another one of their brothers. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they were actually around Harry a lot more than they did in the movies, but they never stick around him for very long like Ron does (obviously because of the year difference and likely different class schedules too) and run off to their own group of friends- so they genuinely just talk to Harry if they see him and don’t hang out with him because he’s this famous kid that defeated the greatest evil of their era. Throughout the school year they kinda just treat him like any other normal kid and Harry seems to be always smiling around them because of their antics. Even during Harry’s first Quidditch match, the twins were the *only ones* who flew over to try and get Harry safely onto one of their brooms when everyone realized that his Nimbus 2000 was trying to kick him off, and when they couldn’t get close enough to pull him to safety they went below Harry’s broom ready to catch him if he actually fell off. The twins are honestly the best characters and I love that they’re like Harry’s big brothers 🥹❤

I'm pretty sure somewhere in one of the books it said that muggleborn wizards have someone from the school personally deliver the letter and explain everything (for Hermione i think it was McGonagall who showed up). I assume they also get instruction or a guide regarding diagon alley and platform 9 ¾. They didn't initially send anyone to Harry because they thought he knew. Hus parents were wizards and hus aunt and uncle knew about it, so he should have known too.

18:51 To be fair, with that sorting hat quiz, the questions are randomly chosen from a pool, so you never see all of them when you try it. So, depending on what questions you get, you could answer the questions the same every time, and get a different house. I think it's best to look up a list of all the questions and see what your answers in totality result in.

To answer your question regarding how Muggle born students find out how they are witches or wizards: a representative from the school comes and delivers the letter personally and explains everything to the parents and the child. The reason this didn’t happen with Harry is because Dumbledore was under the impression that Dursleys told Harry he was a wizard and therefore there was no explanation needed, he should have known and expected that a letter was coming. When no answer was received they sent Hagrid to figure out what happened.

In the first book Harry is moved to Dudley's second bedroom (or rather a storeroom for his broken toys) after getting his first Hogwarts Lesson) because the Dursleys noticed that the letter was addressed to "the cupboard under the stairs" and were afraid that the wizards were watching them and would be angry about where Harry was sleeping. To make it clear, I believe that not only did they have 3 bedrooms, but also I believe a guest room.

To answer your question about why spiders are afraid is basically spiders can’t blink. And their vision is 360, they’re vulnerable if they face basilisk because all it has to is look into all their eyes. And the spiders will drop dead right away.

man I am really happy you guys are doing this around Christmas. to be honest my family kinda sucks and are not good people and i have distanced myself from them over the last few years. but one good memory i have is that we would always watch all the harry potter movies around Christmas time and i loved it cause it was one of the few times we could be not dysfunctional for a little while and just be a family. so now living by myself in the city these last few years i tend to get really depressed when it comes to the holidays because i am just by myself and I haven't been able to bring myself to just watch them alone. so this is a great fill in to be able to kind of watch with people again. ya'll are my favorite youtubers hands down and i super appreciate what you do!! hope you dorks have a wonderful holiday!! and all the Billy elfs to!!

Hello Nora! I'm sorry to hear about your family. The last few years have been rough for me too. As a kid, Thanksgiving and Christmas was the BEST time of the year. Both Holidays, the family would gather at my grandparent's house and the food would be GREAT. Well, my grandfather passed in 2013, and with all the grandkids grown up and having great grandkids, things are not the same. I've always been the black sheep of the family. First one to be picked on, and picked on the hardest. As an adult, I feel I get absolutely zero respect from most of my family. For several years I mostly just showed up to eat, say hi to my mom, and leave. Now, I pretty much avoid going. There's no reason to... All the good cooks married into the family, and now most have divorced out, so the food is trash and I get treated like trash, so I'll just stay home, thanks. I visit my Grandma every now and then, and I would be open to visiting any of the family individually, but put them all together and well... I'd rather be in prison. The holidays are now the worst time of the year for me. As soon as November rolls around, I can't wait until January. 10 months of not feeling obligated to go spend time with people who make me feel very unloved. Thank you for sharing your story... It helps to not feel so alone in this world.

Interesting facts 1 between the trio, Hermione is actually the oldest while Harry is the youngest 2 if you pay close attention to the movies or read the books you’ll actually find that there are some Gryffindors who aren’t good and there are some Slytherins who aren’t bad 3 In terms of wizarding classification, pure bloods are wizards with only wizarding ancestry (Ron), half bloods are wizards with muggle and wizarding ancestry (Harry), muggleborns are wizards with only muggle ancestry (Hermione). However the theory is that muggleborns are descendants of squibs (Filch) which a wizard born into a wizarding family but has no magical abilities. Squibs usually live in the muggle world and pair up with muggles passing the magical gene until it resurfaces with a muggleborn descendant. Half Breeds or Cross Breeds are wizards who are a mix between a human wizard and another magical being. Wizards and Muggles are human but are just classified differently
