As a bloke who's seen a lot of road trauma repair go badly, young Kaulin is lucky to have that leg on, and only a bit of a limp that physio may yet fix. I walk the same way as him, and it's just that I'm 55, with a lot of wear and tear on the right knee. I think the Wetzels probably breed 'em tough.

When you come into someone else's handy work on screws that have been buggered, try to pound in a torx bit and work them out. It doesn't work all the time but it works most of the time. And who doesn't have a bunch of torx bits to use as extractors.😅

From a mechanical point of view, it would be more effective if you gave the Penetrating oil a moment to soak in between spraying and turning. From a videography point of view, it would be better to close the doors so you're not shooting into the sun.

A real time saver way to remove the steering wheel is to put the nut back on by a few threads and yank the steering wheel loose. Leverage yourself by putting your foot/leg against the brake pedal. Position your hands at the steering wheel braces. The nut on by a few threads will prevent you from hitting yourself in the nose with the steering wheel, when it comes free. It doesn't always work, but it's a real time saver when it does. It's an artform ;-)

Colin's C-10 is mint compared to most that age. A minor amount of repair to the panels behind the wheels and you are going to have one sweet truck. You are so lucky; I have a '63 C-10 Panel Delivery (like a window-less Suburban) with rear barn-doors, and it is a rolling rust bucket. Great project guys. Smart move remounting the body onto a modern frame, suspension, and drivetrain. You'll be able to enjoy it for many years to come. Good luck and have fun !

If you're going to work on an older general motors product you definitely need a clutch head screw bit, or screwdriver. I forget where I found mine, when I was doing my '53 GMC.
