Still going strong on Windows 7. Using latest 106 chrome or something idk, Office 2019 is also working fine. Most games outta there also still supports Windows 7 (except my Core 2 Duo can't run those, lol). The key is basically to watch out for sketchy ads and fake download buttons lol. Also, i was a antivirus-lover kid back in the days, nowadays i hate AVs so much because i need the extra 5% cpu power.

@@snowglobe-aljBtw, here's the story. My dad got a dongle for me, that could mirror my iPad screen to the computer. I was always interested in those type of things as a kid, but anyways, the software on the dongle said that the application didn't have a digital signature, and I ran it anyway, and... the PC straight up had a BSOD. I was a child at the time and I was scared when I saw the blue screen, hearing the high-pitched beep. Then the computer was locked away in the garage 3 days later, never to be seen again... I am interested in seeing it again and hopefully it will still be there.

@@snowglobe-alj talking about security, you could use an alternative way to get your windows 7 protected, it's not that complicated but if you're that type of person who clicks on ads that pops up ofc the computer get damaged easily, there's alot of possible ways to make windows 7 useable, people have been using this old excuse like _"oh windows 7 not secure anymore ahhhh blah blah blah"_ windows 10 isn't secure either, even if you're using windows defender, cause windows defender is not that good, even if you're using windows 11 windows defender still sucks, that's why antivirus exist for any windows (especially windows 7)

Also! Gonna leave another comment here, using the Windows 7 Image Updater, and partitioning your HDD / SSD, you can dualboot Windows 7 and 10 (or 8, or 8.1) Just keep in mind that this doesn't work for 11, as 11 requires native UEFI

Interesting, but I only have 2 computers. 1 is my main PC and the other is my 2009 PC that used to run Windows 7. Now that my old PC is on Windows 10 it is too slow... I don't want to risk my main PC either.

@@snowglobe-alj i mean, the worst that could happen is that somehow the windows 10 partition gets messed up, though that is extremely unlikely, and even then, you could always use a recovery drive and reinstall 10 if that does happen

Yeah.... This OS gave me childhood. But know what, i'm really don't care about the end of life from microsoft. They are just jerks that want money . I still has it like a 2nd system on my pc and i'm happy. I can boot to it from any moment. And i really like windows XP too. This was awesome but sadly you can't use it at the moment. But i like to use it on virtual machine. And these nowadays windows.... Collecting data, data troubles, new interface, new MBR sector that working like shit... I really don't want to be on windows 10, it's nice but.... I don't like being watched.... I'm even don't going to talk about Windows 11, it's just crap a REALLY BIG CRAP. Windows 7 was the OS that given the user all it could do, it was no spying on you, it was not installing useless updates, it was just letting us truly USE our computer. Not like now, that every startup of system begins with updates..... And that damn Antimalvare service that is killing my CPU.... I want windows 7 back... Don't take away my child hood... Please...
