We mourn our innocence. When magic was real, when we wondered, when we loved without a care, when we knew right and wrong, when there were good guys and bad separately. Unflinching hard reality is not the only truth... there is still magic, imagination and love for those who hold onto it dearly ...

As a kid, me and my dad would watch this Every Halloween. Every time the music starts, we dance to it all around the house. Even when I had a couple bad days in High School, he would still play it and it would make my day. I'm in college now, and one week, I was getting homesick. October was coming, and I wanted to go home for the weekend. And he put this on the night we got home. I love you Dad. Thanks for making my childhood amazing.

This episode is one of the defining factors of Halloween for me and has been for years. These days, holidays just haven't felt quite the same as I've grown up (probably due in part to companies selling holiday products months before it's actually time for them, but also due to the weather not being appropriate to the holiday where I live), but whenever I watch this around Halloween (alongside Hocus Pocus), the mood is set and everything is nearly perfect. Thanks for posting this! Great memories.

It's so interesting that a whole generation can probably do all the lines from this Halloween TV tradition--and because all us kids looked forward to it because it wasn't available to watch anytime you felt like it-- and todays children do not grow up with these deeply implanted "traditions" and instead they have "memes" which are forgotten a week later, before they last long enough to become an important childhood memory...

Yes, I know what you mean. I grew up with looney toons, bugs bunny, superfriends, hanging out with friends in the summer, riding bikes, going to the park and staring at the clouds. I lived before the internet and i experienced life for myself not through others, i dreamed, i imagined, i hoped. I dont know if youth today can understand, the internet is not life, its an empty hollow virtual life...but older generations tell me thats how all generations view the next. All i know is i was very fortunate to have lived in the 80s and a bit in the 70s as a child.

@@GeminianINTJ well said👍 I don't agree that we're just another generation looking down our nose at the younger generations. The internet has created chaos.
