Nice vid. I like the GSXS 750 a lot & what you've done to yours too. I'm also really keen to see the new one when it's supposedly revealed later this year. Typical Suzuki it will almost certainly be tweaked, refined & polished etc as opposed to anything radical & I'm fine with that if the spec & price is right. I'm looking more & more at middleweights now as opposed to the 1000's as while a middleweight isn't as sexy, they make so much more sense in nearly every way & you can use so much more of them on the road which is much more rewarding & fun.

Dunno is there a new GSX-S750 on the way? I would have thought the new GSX-S950 might replace it.
@ragerider62833 жыл бұрын
@@aidenlothian9642 Supposedly there is but don't have any inside knowledge. Just the usual internet gossip I've seen. The 950 is only really designed for A2 & is significantly less powerful than the 750 so it would get absolutely stuffed by the other middleweights. I'd be very surprised if that was Suzuki's offering in the current most popular market sector as it just wouldn't cut it. Regardless of engine size etc, to be a contender it needs at least 120bhp & be as close to 200kg as poss ideally. However knowing Suzuki it will probably be 115bhp & 215kg which I could live with tbh if it's good value. Another clue there's one coming is Suzuki's finance deals. They've specifically targeted the GSXR1000, Katana & GSX750 to presumably shift old Euro 4 stock in time for the mitigation deadline & to make way for new Euro 5 versions, except the Katana which will supposedly be discontinued..... apparently.

@@twistandgo3414 The GSX-950 does also carrys 3 more litres of fuel at 19 litres. I reckon the 750 is gone. I think the extra hp from the 750 will be nullified by the displacement advantage of the 950. To have both bikes competing against each other at the same time doesn't sound right. All depends on what the price will be. I reckon its to compete with the z900 and mt09 at a cheaper price.
@ragerider62833 жыл бұрын
@@aidenlothian9642 Quite possibly, you could well be right although it would be a mistake imo as it really doesn't compete with the Z900 or MT-09 at all. Bit more noise is always good so just throw on an end can and ride it. Any tuition is money well spent or get yourself booked in to a race school / tuition track day or Advanced road riding course, very useful. Other than that, that's about it really, bike doesn't NEED anything really... Although an end can and braided brake lines are always my first mods. Hi mate, sorry if I missed it (if it was in the other videos of yours) I am plannig a tune-up of my 750. I was seriously considerning a black widow headres (decat) however I am worried it will be too loud. I have same slip-on R11sq. I use my 750 comuting to work everyday. Someone said that catalyzer on 750 is not so restrictive like on 1000 and decating does not give hudge increase of power and that it wil be poping and screaming. Guy who will be tuning my bike suggested DynoJetV and removal of EVAP plus new Air filter. Please advise. I am worried that at some point I will face the same problem this bike is not powerful enough.. and will swap it over to 1000cc. Looking forward for youe advice. Greetings from Poland.
@twistandgo34143 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the Standard CAT on these isn't as restrictive as it is on the 1000... The standard headers are also really quite light, I was surprised when I took them off. Sound wise, the tone was slightly deeper after decat but not massively so. Would say it gave a bit more of a rasp with the standard headers whereas after decat, sounds like a bigger bike. Id say there's probably only 2-3 bhp to be had with removing the Standard headers. By comparison, i had the bike dyno'd before and after decat and there was a 2bhp loss (before tune) by removing the standard headers and having the decat headers on with the R11.. So clearly, they're not as bad as you'd think. Additionally, mine has PC5 fitted and the guy that tuned mine pretty much tuned out the pops and bangs without any other changes to the air box. I installed a piper cross air filter only, no other internal box mods or plate Delete etc. If I did it again, I prob wouldn't bother with the decat in honesty and would maybe consider an ecu flash instead but I didn't go that route as you're changing the standard parameters and it voids the warranty. After that, yes, an ecu flash if I kept the bike, would have been a good comparison to see how much of a difference that actually makes Vs a PC5.. Suspect only 2-3 bhp... If course, if you seek the bike, you can remove a PC5 and some money back, you can't do that with an ecu tune - hope that helps...
@MSztuk3 жыл бұрын
Many thanks! Well, I will not bother with decat and go with PC5 + new filter for now. 750 is a great bike, especially on the small tracks or just when having fun on twisties in the area. It is light and drives (handles) much better then gsxs1000 in my opinion. I was considering getting new 1000 when they revealed it but when checked on all “upgrades” I realised it is still the same GSXS1000. Like said in your other video, 20-30hp more would make 750 a perfect bike. Greetings.

Good review, do you know any cheaper inline four? To your negative list, I would add the lower handlebar bar, it is too low, I am 5.11 , too much pressure on palm of my hands, you are just leaning on the handlebar, added 1.5’’ risers ( much better now) , no windshield , exhausting on faster roads with lots of wind on chest , added Puig touring windshield plus clip on, the seat is bad too . When I bought the bike ( my first)I found it too heavy, but now it feels okay , the weight is a plus on Highways. In stock , I can only ride for 30 minutes, now with all touring mods, 2 hours is okay. Had mine for 5 months, 9000 km on it. It is a bargain.

Yeah, I've found the seat is better now than it was when I bought the bike. Aftermarket seat or Air hawk / Tour tech seat would also do the job although 500 miles in a stint I've done without too much issue. Understand what you mean re the bars, if a little shorter can see they might be a bit low. No issues myself, find the bike really quite comfy. As for something cheaper, I think you would be struggling if we are talking newer... Cb650F maybe, or go older, Kawasaki ZR7, gsr 750...the screen certainly makes a difference for me on longer high speed runs and yes depending on inclement weather, sustained cruising in high winds can be tiring, but it's a naked bike so that's the choice you make when buy one I guess. By comparison, the new gsxs 1000 is more comfortable and feels less compact than the 750 does, which also feels like an angry teenager / unfaired sportsbike compared to the 1000. - Thanks for watching.

The bigger naked bikes are overkill for street, they make good sport touring by adding a few mods, this is what I have done to 750, I have the Air Hawk seat too, add another 90 min riding time. I have a few videos up on the touring mods added , if interested take a look. The new GSX s1000 , I probably go for that in year or two(my bike is only 5 months old) , then make it sport touring.

@@HS99876 have you had any issues with your throttle cable length when using handlebar risers? I also had 1.5” risers on my 2020 gsxs750 and noticed the throttle tightening up when making sharp turns. It seems like the throttle cable is too short when using risers that tall, and I haven’t found an adjustment that can be made yet.
@HS998763 жыл бұрын
@@benjaminknox6796 Hey, yes , you have to re route the throttle cable from under to top of the frame, under the gas tank, there is small gap that cable can go through easily, some other older bikes, pass the cable from under the gas tank. check my video, I have pointed to the cable, you will see where it is going through. When re routed, you have to turn the handlebar all the way both side to test the throttle , it has to work freely. Also you have to move the mirror( break fluid container) more towards the center to reduce the pressure on the break fluid cable when turning the handlebar, again I have pointed to it on my video. The break fluid cable has to be lose when turning the handlebar all the way both way, I think if left where it is , it can great a big problem, you can cut the line when turning the handlebar all the way.

Hello my friend i am looking for New bike after 14 y on my Yamaha XV 500 cruiser . My choice is Mt 07 ,GSR 750 or this newer GSX-S 750. What is his average fuel consumption? Thnx
@twistandgo34143 жыл бұрын
Hi, it will easily do 40+ mpg when ridden relatively sensibly. 180 miles on a tank touring before reserve . 150 on a tank easily achievable. Suzuki official figures are 57.65mpg although i would take that lightly personally. Once you start riding it, it's hard not to rev it and have fun! but it's quite economical if you ride it that way.

Do you think this is a better bike than z900?
@twistandgo34142 жыл бұрын
Now that's a good question! I have ridden a Z900, it's got a bit more power would say the handling is a bit better with the 750... It pains me to say but if you went for a Z900SE with the ohlins, then yes it prob is, although not ridden that specific model. You could go cheaper and upgrade the 750 en route but vs better suspension out of the crate I guess the 750 is still slightly shy in power, Although it's not slow and you can ring the back side out of it! Test ride both and see what you prefer would be my suggestion, based on looks, handling, performance, brakes, value for money and your own finances etc. Its Personal choice, but the SE model would be better.. The standard one...between the two? hmm tough call. Are you a suzuki or kawasaki person?.. Could be as simple a decision as that... Thanks for watching! 👍😎
