S3 will probably come out fall 2025 at the earliest. There was just a huge manga and anime event in Japan with a lot of trailers, production updates, release dates for shows etc. For the new JJK season they just had a "jjk [spoiler?] arc is currently in production, stay tuned for further updates". On top of that, at the end of May there's a compilation movie coming out in JP cinemas for season 2 and it's impossible that they'd release it after season 3 launches.

It's a huge moment in 2x5 when Yuki (the biker chick) tells Geto Riko's life was meaningless for the JJK higherups. That was his last straw before he turned heel. She was just a meaningless pawn in the hands of the powerful and was always replaceable. That's why Gojo is so antagonistic to the authorities, stopped talking shit like "protecting the weak is lame". Geto turned into a genocidal villain. That was the whole point!

But Geto is dead in the next episode. It's why the reveal of the brain in his body makes him and this season slightly less interesting. Episode 5 is basically only meaningful to JJK 0 but not really to anything we're seeing in the present now which is where that sentiment is coming from.

@@NerdyNightly On the Geto side, yes (though calling it "only jjk0" seams reductive. it's still an important character for the story and an important part for a whole story arc). On the Gojo side it's relevant to his personality throughout the entire show. Plus. you saw the next episode after you said what I commented, so I think my comment still stands. :)

​@@rashodjohnson3566 If I may add to the conversation, as I find it interesting, they stopped watching Vinland Saga for three prominent reasons. 1. They didn't enjoy the show because they had the mindset that the show had the typical anime tropes, which made them overlook actions or comments from the characters. Like what they are now doing with JJK. 2. They kept making constant jokes and didn't pay much attention, so they kept asking questions that had been answered moments ago in the episode. Which leads to point 3. 3. The comments strongly criticizing their way of reacting and their lack of seriousness when watching the show (which to a certain extent they were right), because being an "intellectual" series that touched on philosophical and social points, Nerdy and Clarus' comments were out of place. So the people who cared about them kept telling them that they should stop watching the show to avoid backlash from the fans.
