This review tour of the inside of the Ghostbuster fire station is an update on all the details of the interior and some of the fun action features of the firehouse. In his video we show the roof top railing parts, faux support beams, plexiglass goop grate panels, the Ecto tube slide, wood stair ladders, decorative railing pieces on the second level. We covered the 2" x 4" vertical posts with green decorative pillars on the bottom floor that were inspired by the Ghostbusters movie firehouse interior. We also received a Ghostbusters surprise package in the mail and Harrison gets a Ghostbuster PKE meter, Ghost trap, and awesome Ghostbuster stickers. We are drawing inspiration for the design of this extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations and Ghostbusters toys. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. The fire stations have been a filming location for several other shows and movies but as the home base for the Ghostbusters what better fire station could you model from for a kids playhouse. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set, the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters and the Kenner classics fire station images online, wish we had that! Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon. We will be posting a series of videos of all the construction update videos and details of how we make this playhouse. We are accessorizing the firehouse with two cedar wood playsets with the slides, climbing wall, swings, monkey bars, rope, fireman's pole, and any other playground equipment we can find a great deal on. We would love to also incorporate some other items from the Ghostbusters movies like a ghost containment unit, ghost traps, electrical shut off switches, wood equipment lockers, wood railing, Slimer ghost with slime splats, The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Egon's lab, dark room, Janine's office desk, and much more. I know we always have grand plans but we will see how many of these we can accomplish. We are super excited to work on this custom toy playset playhouse project full of nostalgia so please stay tuned and join us on this new adventure.

Hahaha thanks Chris, I can't make myself spend the time to master computer programs like sketchup and autocad. I have created some simple stuff in them but the drawings take me forever to finish. Been wanting to learn a new video editing software but it takes interest and even though I'd like to I don't really want to. 3D printing and CNC are all on the list but I need a couple more of Chris' 🤣

I hope Harrison grows up and realizes what wonderful parents you guys are. Most parents would not go to this extreme in a cool play area. As I was watching this video I had a thought. Is there a Cornhole Bean bag game for ghost busters. So I googled it and there is but it's got the movie logo on it. My thought was for Harrison the cornhole board should be painted to look like slimer with his mouth open, which would be the hole for the Bean bags. And the bean bags should be hambergers. If no one is up for sewing bean bags that look like burger, I'm positive you can find a dog toy that looks like a burger for cheap. I don't think you'd really need to make 2 boards. I think one would do for Harrison's ghostbuster play set. More of a teaching tool for hand eye. Though I'm guessing given Harrison's parents amazing skills, Harrison already has really good hand-eye coordination, but it might be fun. I wish I could make it myself as a contribution but I'm recovering from a total knee replacement and that kind of movement is still a dream. Sorry, I know you've got so much to do, you didn't need any more ideas. Keep up the good work & give Harrison a extra hug for me.

I don't know if you want to take on disassembling the slide again but I have found I can get the paint to stick to most plastics if you use a torch to heat up the plastic a bit, then use 99% isopropyl alcohol sprayed on a rag to wipe it down when still warm. It pulls the release agent out and allows for the paint to adhere. I usually lights sand as well. Test it and see if it works on your specific plastic. Good luck. The build is coming along great.

Your eye(s) for detail is just inspirational. I'm always so ding dang impressed with the work you do. That's how I originally came to "meet" you in your original videos. Thank you Scott We have worked for a few different set shops where we got to be involved in the design and fabrication process. We have been flakes when it comes to committing to any union work through the years though. We have done work on our own over the years working together and really enjoyed that. Even had an outdoor kitchen biz for awhile. Our issue has always been we have our hands in to many different things instead of doing one thing full force.
