I hope you see this. You didn’t teach me necessarily how to do makeup. You taught me how to grow my confidence and creativity and nurture my calm. How to project my calm onto others. I didn’t know that I was an empath or how strong of an empath I could be, but you were a part of me finding that in myself.

Everyday Id get off the bus and sit on the floor in front of the mirrors of my school theatre dressing room, prop up your videos on my ipod touch and do my makeup to them. I was a mentally unwell and depressed kid who didn’t have many friends. Makeup was a huge outlet for me to express myself when my social anxiety wouldn’t let me. Your comment about afterglow being a cozy corner like your old videos made me cry, it reminded me of the cozy corner I made for myself in my schools basement watching them. Can’t wait to watch this!

I love seeing you back, and I also agree with you. After I watched my sister die last year, I was so broken. I wanted to be gone. It took time and lots of help, but I'm doing better, I still have a long way to go. I realized in the last 12 months, that god, the universe, my sister, who ever it is, sending people my way on my journey to healing. Meeting strangers or reconnecting with old friends is a blessing and reminds me I'm not alone in this life. AND GOORL YES!!! When people asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up at 5 years old, I'd say, "I want to be Sailor Moon!"

It is so great to see you again, and not just doing makeup as before, your personality is the thing that inspired me the most 💜 Thank you for the words about people being constantly evolving and that it is okay to want to change and experience new things. I love a ton of things and love to learn new things, I don't like to stay still in a career for years or just go on and do makeup videos. I feel like I'm so much more than that. I've made peace with this person that I am and I want to live a life of discovery and fullfilment, even if it means that I'll be changing paths every so often. Your new series has come to us at such a perfect point in my life. I have watched you since 2007, I was only 6 years old and the only people I was subscribed to was you, Smosh, and Shane Dawson. I still remember hiding under my blanket at night watching your tutorials on my iPod touch. Throughout my teenage years I would rewatch your draw my life video and all your short story films on KZbin, and hoped that one day I could be just like you. My auntie even took my sister and I to come and meet you in San Francisco when I was just 12 years old and it was the best day ever. I am now 22 years old, just graduated from college in May, and am now starting my first full time job at an Investment Bank. I grew up with you and I feel like you came back at such a pivotal point of my life where I need guidance and wisdom for this next chapter. Thank you Michelle, for shaping my definition of inner beauty. So glad you are back

I watched/listened to this video twice to give myself the time to process and formulate my thoughts: 1. The feeling this video encapsulates for me is “coming home” 2. I haven’t watched David So for about a decade but one video caught my eye on the home page and it was about him selling his things and letting it go because his wife and him were moving. Which brings me to my next point. 3. We all change so I’m curious to see who you are NOW. Very understandable you’re not the young teenager who became viral. Just as we’re all not the same teenagers from way back when. 4. It’s so nice to see you still have this calm zen deposition. I’m wondering if writing another book is part of the plan but wherever this journal is heading. I’m in.

I was tiny, but that barbie make tutorial is a core memory in my brain because it was basically my first time seeing the interviewer, let alone a makeup tutorial. me and my sister joke that you raised us whenever you are brought up in our conversations. we even quote you sometimes and joke about how you taught us the word “thus” but you are so much more than that, and i’m glad that these recent years we’re seeing more of the you that you want us to see, to know truly it’s been a privilege growing up with you and watching you become who you are now, so glad to be seeing you again! sending so so much love to you and you’re loved ones 🤍🕯️

Welcome back Michelle! I’ve been a fan since the OG KZbin days! In high-school and college, you inspired and taught me so much with your makeup tutorials! You worked hard to get to where you are today and happy to hear you’re in a better place! Happy to see you are back! ❤😊

5:10 I’m here post school trying to become a developer and everyone knows what’s happening to tech workers right now. The one thing moving me is I remember you said in your draw my life that all this came from a recession, so I’m thinking it’s not over yet I need to find my calling 😅

Many businesses were formed during recessions, especially in 2008. This is an opportunity to find a white space, identify a need, and being a solution to that need that people find value in.

It’s actually insane for me to have seen you as a kid growing up to now being in my mid 20’s. The growth & healing you’ve experienced is admirable❤
