Do you guys except returns within thirty days of this reel? Because I am very displeased with it.

Thank you for reaching out, please speak with the retailer you purchased your reel from or give us a call at (800) 892 - 5444 (Monday-Friday, 8 AM- 6 PM EST).

Since they're fishing in saltwater, I'm assuming these reels come in a 300 and 400 size? Cuz a 200 size won't get the job done with that type of fishing. You need a muskie type reel
@mflorentino4 жыл бұрын
We were indeed fishing the 300 and 400 size low profile reels. A 200 can work for certain techniques, but 300/400 loaded with 65lb braid / 40-50lb leader is ideal.

How much 30 lb braid does the 300 hold ?

@@mflorentino u think the 8ft heavy paired to a 400 fathomLP would hold up to big snook and tarpon on the gulf coast? Maybe the occasional Grouper

Southern California! Love my calico bass fishing! Nothing more epic on a hot calico bite

@@Silbaugh4liberty cool! I’m from Florida so I’m not that familiar with the kelp and those types of fish
@Silbaugh4liberty4 жыл бұрын
@@shanethornton486 yellowtail are related to your amberjack, reef donkeys. but ours instead of heading into wreckage they tangle us up in kelp. I've lost so many yellowtail to the kelp. They're not as stupid as tuna, that just heads straight out. They look for structure to cut you off on. And they fight until you gaff them!! But our yellow tail only get up to about 50 lb Max. A good size yellow tail is a 20 to 30 pounder.but it's pretty awesome when you're out there bass fishing and you end up catching a few yellowtail! I caught pretty much all of my yellow tail on my daiwa Lexa 400, spooled with 65 lb braid, and I usually use a 40 to 50 lb mono to my lure, for some stretch. But not too long of a leader because the braid helps cut through the kelp

@@Silbaugh4liberty sounds like a lot of fun, imma have to take a trip to California! I’ve caught a couple reef donkeys here with a penn battle 2 6000 on 40lb test braid with a fluorocarbon leader and they did every thing they could to get away, just like you said. They are quite the fight too on that lighter tackle. I mostly do inshore though on little 2500 and 3000 battle 2’s catching snook, reds, trout, all that good stuff

I wonder how Abu Garcia handled this move?! Considering pen owns them
@tunanorth4 жыл бұрын
More specifically, Abu-Garcia and PENN both fall under the "Pure Fishing" company umbrella, along with Berkley, Fenwick, Pflueger, Shakespeare, Fin-Nor, and several others.
