Thanks for the vid! Tips and tricks: 1. after a fight, have the fighters pick up and store their unused potions and any loot they can carry. 2. You can feed hurt students and staff healing potions outside of battle if you can't or don't want to have them rest in a medical bed.

Higher level wands push the fog futher away, also i would suggest trying for a wolfkin earth wand for higher speed to cast armor earlier

@@Aavak In higher skull battles the Earth Mage *needs* to be fast. You want them able to cast Earth Armour before anything else moves. That pretty much means Wolfkin, plus specifically looking for medallions that increase speed. It will take some time to get a perfect or near perfect Earth Mage (speed over 40, preferably as close to 50 as you can manage) with a tier 3 wand, but your Earth Mage is probably the most important mage in your lineup. Pretty much any wand combination will work so long as you have a good Earth Mage.... Thats how important they are! That means speed, Earth Armour scales with wand tier, its not affected by Power. Similarly Health and Mana are less important. For Earth Mages speed is the single most important stat. Low health is not important if your Earth mage is getting the Earth Armour up before anything can attack them! In high skull fights I would suggest a haste and earth armour potion for your Earth Mage as well. Start with the haste, put up Earth Armour, drink the Earth Armour Potion (it stacks with the spell). Assuming a tier 3 wand thats 480 armour. Then drop a quake on the enemy front row. Its not going to kill them but it drops the health so your damage dealers in the back row can finish them off. Sure thats probably using most if not all of your Earth Mages mana in a single round.... but if you design the rest of your lineup right 9including the right potions) you will not need a second round most of the time, and if you do there is still enough of the Armour up to absorb anything thrown their way.

There are no stat increases for going from student to staff. In fact, it locks in their stats and prevents any method of further permanent increases, whether from medallions or from other methods you haven't yet discovered.

Personally, I don't think putting the spice racks by the ceiling would be that big a deal, considering your staff are the only ones cooking & I'm pretty sure they all know Accio. Edit: also the items have the dimensions in their descriptions, so you can get the sizes before you have the resources or even the research. Large spice rack are 2×1×5 tiles

If you want to remove a person from a group, you can use group's member selection. If you check carefully member list includes not just groups you have created but also all the names both students and teacher that are currently in your school. Only thing you need to do is create new rule where you select person as a member you want to exclude and then negate it with "not any" selector. Of course with teachers this is more useful, as they are more static members of your school, than students. I love the groups option that the game offers. You can do lot of fancy automation with it. You can also create custom priority list that are linked to certain group. I'm not sure where from you set that particular option on, might be from settings of the groups (button in top right corner of group view). I have used those custom priorities to automate some goals students try to archive, like destroying certain amount of things or filling mana-lanter etc. Most fun I have had was creating "houses" with group rules, after I got two common rooms build. I split their members by their wand type. Also you can use groups to force certain teachers with certain talent range in magic to teach in special class, when you have established advanced classes. I also created a group which forces students to study with normal learning stone, until they pass level 2. So they first study with learning stone and only move to special classes for levels 3 or more. This helps with achievements like "study at least with six students or teachers on learning stone" . Hopefully you are enjoying the game. I'm having blast with it. ... and yes level four fights are terrifying... so beware before you take them... :>

It's almost as if overcomplicating multiple schedules with specified lists and conditions and running the school like a sweatshop instead of just making a a small set of schedules that allows for everyone to take care of their needs regularly is a bad idea.

Basic latching would require using the group's membership to decide its membership in the next tick (along with the thresholds) if that's available. It'd look something like this: in_sleep_group = (rest < min_val || in_sleep_group) && (rest < max_val) Step by step: - `rest` goes below `min_val` and so both the left and right () groups are true - while sleeping, `rest` goes above `min_val` but `in_sleep_group` is already true, so both () groups remain true - after sleeping for long enough for `rest` to be >= `max_val`, the right side () group becomes false, setting `in_sleep_group` to false until `rest` goes below `min_val` again.

Yeah, I played around with latching off camera, still can't find a way to cause them to max out their status, only to have them fill up to the top bracket of the status then stop until it enters a negative bracket.

One group "min_group" is just the negative bracket check, "max_group" is just the positive bracket check, and the "intermediate_group" has membership checks: - "is in any of 'min_gr', 'intermediate_group'" - "is in none of 'max_group'" (this does still include the assumption that you can use a group's own membership in the membership check)

You don't need to put the house common on stilts, I tried it and getting proper support is almost impossible. An easier solution is making sure each of the rooms below has a roof. Then you can still use the walls to hold up the house common It's still not an easy solution since it requires a lot of shuffling about

While I haven't played the latest patch, it's my experience that the ghost staff member works (Task blocks) 100% of the time no matter how they're scheduled.

Mine teaches quit regularly. In fact I have mine on high teaching because of that. The level of the mage teaching does not appear to affect learning speed so I prefer to have my higher skill teachers doing other things....

@@alganhar1 Level of the teacher does matter, 10% teaching speed per matching level of the relevant element. Ghost teacher is level 1 in all elements, so literally the worst teacher.

Sad to hear, but understandable in some situations. Ferrets are exceptionally capable predators, and if your uncle keeps any small livestock or pets, then it can become a necessary evil. If there are wild ferrets near by, and you keep chickens, then it really is a case of you have to pick one to leave alive and kill the other, otherwise they'll make the choice for you :( Same with wild wolves and sheep farms. Of course, the ideal solution is that you find a way to coexist but the reality is rarely as simple as that :/ Still, very sad to hear, especially if they were actual ferrets and not polecats, or if you live in the US, where wild ferrets are an endangered species :(
