The “extra items” sugar is not in fact extra items. It is extra choices. It makes it so that whenever you get free items you can have 3 or 4 (depending on level chosen) options to choose from. That lets you tailor your run and have much better survivability than at current while otherwise keeping the balance

yeah but the scavengers spice reduces the number of items you get.

Now I'm kind-of curious what combination of modifiers would be best for min-maxing your score. Obviously, taking every spice would give you the highest modifier, but I doubt that's practical for most people, nor does it sound very fun. So, instead, I think it's more interesting to look at which sweets will let you push the spices the farthest, while minimizing how much they reduce your score, and which spices you can push, without increasing the actual difficulty too much or that can be more effectively canceled out with the right sweets.

Taking even one of the least impactful sweet will actually cause a victory to yield less than an early zone 6 allspice run, which is frankly not that difficult to pull off. Mixing spices and sweets is great for creating really fun runs, but not optimal for higher scores. It also doesn't really matter how much currency you have when there's nothing more as of current to spend it on, so you'd look to increase your high score which simply just comes with allspice.

If you have infinite firerate, sure, it's basically a size-up for your bullets But even then, is it really doing anything good? If a guy ever gets close you're basically taking damage for sure

one item is rather unfun, its a solid 45m that never even gets difficult with a good 1/3rd of it being karmai. it took me 2 tries and only because the first time i was too lazy to properly wait for the actual right item
