Digger tyres and pivot tyres have one thing in common, you never have to look hard to find one that’s flat at the bottom.

@DskPeezyTv it seems like our red soil doesn’t wear as much as other types of soil. We have some land down south that has darker soil there we have to replace plow blades once a day

Can you dig all night? Or does the dew, humidity make the "tough" like the soybeans up here?
@conleybanman3 ай бұрын
Digging we can do all night. But harvesting we have to pay attention to humidity. Too much and the peanuts don’t fall off the vine in the combine and fly out the back

@conleybanman3 ай бұрын
With digging you don’t necessarily need gps the tractor stays in between the rows perfectly due to us having listed beds
@stanleyharrell60093 ай бұрын
I can remember one elderly man from my childhood that never switched to tractors. He used mules until he retired He would plant a couple of acres of peanuts each year and use a single bottom turning plow to plow them up. Then he would scoop them up with a pitchfork and place them on stack poles to dry. After they dried. He would get farmer to bring a 2 row picker over and would run them through the picker. That was the old, old school way for peanuts.

Definitely sounds like a lot more work but fun as a hobby for like an acre in your backyard

As a longtime heavy equipment operator I must say getting out of a moving tractor is one of the dumbest things I have seen. Had you tripped getting in or out you are toast.
@AT-fc6kz3 ай бұрын
Id have to agree. That is not very smart. Especially if you are in the field alone. Being young makes you feel invincible but all it takes is one time and you are dead
