Jacinta Nampijinpa Price, Shadow Minister for Indigenous Affairs, tackles the problems with Native Title legislation in Australia and how it is holding many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities back.
Too many Indigenous Aussies have been left land-rich but economically disadvantaged. Can the system evolve to support economic progress? Find out in this thought-provoking discussion on land rights, private ownership, and Indigenous advancement.

Jacinta I love your work you come across as a reasonable, intelligent and show fearless conviction in your stances. I doubt you’ll ever read this comment but in the off chance that you I’d like to bring something to your attention. A book written in the 1950s called red over black which describes a future Australia (our present) where our country would be divided by race and that division would be used to import communism to Australia and tear our country apart from the inside. I find it concerning that Albonese was a member for the Australian communist party decades ago also Thomas mayo and many other of the “elders” are self proclaimed communists. Are you aware of such an agenda (which coincidently correlates with WEF UN agenda 2030 “you will own nothing and be happy”) and what is your position on communism? Be worth having a look into united nation native title programs and other things they openly state it’s quite disturbing and I believe will result in the destruction of our once beautiful nation and culture as well as most of our western nations. I’m sure all of this probably sounds insane but I don’t believe that coincidences multiply but a lot of what is going on seems disturbingly coordinated

The only time I've disagreed with Jacinta & Warren....it is PAST TIME that native title was reviewed as its ongoing abuse is detrimental to the vast majority of Australians, and the future of the nation. It at least provides some optimism that thinking Australians see this and have the courage to speak out despite the abuse they are likely to receive from those that continually promote division for their own personal benefit.

Your understanding of an Economy is of a very modern approach (consumerism), Personally I have no were to place my money since I am not of that belief... I would understand placing money to extract steel from australia, turning it into stainless steel and stock pilling it (as a true bank) (but due to corporatism- everything must be taxed or resold at the end of the financial year) For my understanding the pilled metal could be withdrawn when ever, resold as a pool if many people find a good enough offer, or once a huge enough amount is there Crazy project could be envisioned.... railway, massive evaporative pipe for solar desalination... ect (I also think reserves are a real thing) Native title is most definitively a picturesque statement of total indifference... (What's your opinion on Uluru? My Maternal Grandfather was shocked in 2000 when he visited it that Tourists would hear and see people saying not to walk on it, yet still went to climb it anyway... I don't really have any respect for tourists, Taking photos, buying and eating junk they are familiar to.. Not bringing in or taking out any cultural value...

There is a big difference between the native title and land right Act because the native title act is about traditional owners who can prove a connection to that land has never been broken claiming co-ownership with the government, whereas land rights is a freehold title which is claimed by the local Aboriginal land council on behalf of it's members who may or may not be traditional owners and are any Aboriginal people who are members who live within that boundary. Therefore I believe that under land rights there is more opportunity for economic development because the land is owned by freehold title the only problem is it's communally owned and that's the problem how do we get individual benefits from something that's communally owned

I believe Aboriginals can act now, especially on food and water; by addressing this seemingly theoretical dead-end in science that everyone is obsessed with is key to progress. I do agree that 'direct reality' may be dangerous but the 'managed reality' we currently experience is not fair & equitable for all and is holding back our ability to, not only survive climate change, but to develop as an intelligent species. Anyone interested in making the renewable revolution work by investing in a green energy source that is not intermittent and has an excellent LCoE, please get in touch?

You racist, or at best you seem to support racism. Aboriginals are australians aswell. Australia can't go back in time. The modern world is nothing like it was 200 years ago. Australia is here and now. Lots of people were treated poorly read histroy. Native australians were in a different world, no Aboriginal would be able to live without modern inventions, none even those on homelands. No cloths, no corrigated iron, no phone , no beer, break native law is death, speared, cast out, is a death sentence. Mixed blood, death.

@lucianjaeger4893
@lucianjaeger4893 6 күн бұрын
@jenniferpatton5108 It is reasonable I see no reason to complain about what she says. You don't have a clue what real far right is time for school. When I was kid beating a love for equality into of far right skin heads was a national pass time wasnt many of them left though, that's REAL far right. I was also around when what was left of the real far right online was purged from greater social media. Conservatives are NOT far right, today they follow closer to 80's and 90's liberalism (that's left by the way) thanks to the shift of the political polls, because Conservatives (Again that's moderate) don't actually conserve anything. Ever. In fact historically all they seem to do is exist to be whipped by the left and clean up the mess they make along the way until they destroy everything. At which point the REAL far right wakes up conservatives don't stop them there's lots of blood and unaliving, sadness people rebuild swear to never let it happen and we enter into oligarchy or Monarchy and around and around we go. What used to be my lane is forever running left, ran so far left left aussies pulled the centre right into the centre thanks to you zombies with no free thought not even questioning what your doing as you march left. Conservatives just take up the last position held by the left that's a historical fact repeated many times throughout history it's the same today. Then again the long march did a fine job on the intellectual stature of today's left we've definitely entered the mindless drone phase of the march. You should read more, Aristotle, Robert Lewis Dabney (1897), Erik Ritter von Kuehnelt-Leddihn (you can find audio transcripts of this guy in some you hear people in back talking about "Right wing commies" let that sink in, look up what conservative views were 40 years ago then 60 and 80 compare them to now hell even 20. Then look up what left-wing views were instead of sucking up propaganda like a sponge. I used to love my beloved left you people are 3 steps from potatoe these days. Challenge yourself. Also want to say its actually really humorous to me the left has basically pulled the conservatives so far left they've embraced liberalism & become liberal (liberalised) which is just basically soft Marxism. (Read Jean-Jacques Rousseau work) Sincerely; A former Fabian, now further right than Jacinta.
