Sam, threadcount does not matter on a diff, they have a crush sleeve for thrust and if you over extend that you can burn the bearing up and the case as well, not to mention the damage that has already been done to the pinion, DO NOT RE USE that, it needs to be fully dissassembled and needs a new pinion, bearings, seal and torqued properly, using a thrust gauge. ou will be replacing this soon if you use it and possibly even destroying the case. Take it from a guy who has done driveline work for many years, this weas a mistake.

1970 Chevelle SS. Usually came with a 396 big block with a 4 speed manual. Are a 400 turbo hydrate three speed automatic transmission depending on what you ordered in the vehicle. SS stands for superport. And that particular Chevelle called a pro mod. For quarter-mile drag racing.

That mark 2 Celica Supra though... my friend had an L type about a decade ago but the transmission and something else blew up and he got rid of it. Though I have seen a guy that lives in my area somewhere with a pristine gold one, literally looks like it came out of a dealership in 1984. And there's a couple of kids with some rough buckets I see occasionally. But I don't understand how Sam can say he can never tell if it's a Supra mk2. They are pretty distinct in the Supra lineage. Who's the baller with a 1970 Chevelle SS clone? That's a flex in Japan if I've ever seen one... I used to work for a place that sells all of the parts to restore one of those things. I know way too much about those cars for my own good. I'm actually kind of jaded to them as I was around them every working day for over 7 years, my boss had dozens of super clean ones, numbers matching, rare RPOs, build sheets, yadda yadda.
