I walked into my bank one day and there was a sign saying "remove your bike helmet or you are not allowed to enter". A few days later I walked through a major department store and saw 3 women dressed head to toe in black clothing with only their eyes visible (Nijab?). I wondered why this was acceptable practice as opposed to someone wearing a bike helmet? I have no problem with Muslims living in western countries. But if women from western countries cannot wear a bikini on a beach in Muslim countries, why should Muslim women be permitted to wear this type of clothing in western countries?

9 years ago in birmingham. Britain. There was a scandle called Trojan horse schools. Where the Muslims gradually changed the governor's. Head. Teachers to all Muslim. My friend worked there. Said that she was called into the office & asked about her dress. It had long arms, length below her knees & high collar. A Conservative dress as my friend put it. the muslim head gave her the burka to put on. She said after months of being treated rudly by muslim staff & pupils. That was the last straw. She couldn't take them to court because of the very strong muslim network they have.

If they wish to wear more clothing that should never be prohibited provided their face is not covered. I have no issues with a burqini. My issue is with actual burqas simply because individuals in a society here have the right to see the face of others in their society to know their identity. I think it is horrific for women to have to wear a burqa but if you wish to wear a burqa for religious or cultural reasons then go back to a country where this is acceptable. That country is not in the west. When you move to a land you can keep your personal culture provided you assimilate to the societal norms there. If you cannot or are unwilling to do that then go to where you are welcome, or required as it may be, to do so.

I was stationed in Islamic countries with Female Air Force members as well as Male AF people. We were told ( Ordered ) to blend in with the locals. Out of my entire AF clothing issue, all I could wear, were my grey glove liners, and my dress shoes. It wasn't a problem, we were all given clothing allowances, and were properly briefed before we shipped over, upon arrival in country, we had sponsors, ( People who had been in country for a while ) that taught us about local customs, and helped us shop for clothes in the markets. When we were finished we blended perfectly with the locals, and never had an issue. By the way, full covering clothing goes a long way in keeping cool in a hot dry climate Arab people figured out everything over the last several thousand years, so why fight it !!! The ladies got used to the veil rather quickly, and it served a useful purpose keeping flies and gnats out of their faces, as well as shielding the from the harsh desert sun and wind. We were not in their country to make a fashion statement, we had jobs to do, and needed to be discreet. Respecting another's culture did not seem strange to me, as I don't see why these Islamic folks can't return the favor, and adopt a more Western style of dress when they arrive in Western Europe, and America. It doesn't bother me in the least if they choose native garb, Still I don't see why a bit of reciprocation is not due to our culture as well. When in Roam, do as the Romans. Tim

With the massive watchlist we have here in UK it should really be a case of stop messing about and deport them all. This would send a clear message to the supposed moderates that if they step out of line they will also be deported immediately.
