I really look forward to these Sunday mornings with you.

I first got the idea to do these video because I wanted some birds to watch with my Sunday morning coffee and I couldn’t find anything on KZbin that was quite what I was looking for. It’s fun to know now that these videos have become part of people’s Sunday morning routine. 🙂

This is so much better than watching the news! My stress level just went down a few notches seeing these adorable birds. Thank you :0)

I play one or two of these videos whenever the stress of living in today's environment gets to be high. For me, that includes more than the news, it's things like renewing my vehicle licensing at a crowded DEQ/DMV location, or shopping at a store where drivers don't pay attention on the parking lot. Just knowing there's a quiet place with beautiful birds bathing and enjoying themselves is soothing, I don't have to actually view videos to lower my blood pressure. Sometimes, the little buggers face off each other over a spot in the pond, but they don't get overly mean. People can learn from that!

Aww, happy to provide some alternative viewing 🙂 Thanks for watching!

I hope for more Kinglets too 😊. The Hooded warblers always take me by surprise with their exotic appearance. Looks like the Titmice are growing weary of hospitality for the summer crowd 😄. Gotta love'em. Have a good week!! 🍂🌾🥰🌾🍂

Poor little Titmice. There’s always someone new coming along and using the Titmouse pond (I’m pretty sure they think it’s meant to be all for them) 😄 Thanks for watching and have a great week!

I love the bluebirds. I saw my last hummingbird last week. I will miss their chirping and the hum of their wings.

It’s been a few days since I’ve seen one too. Already looking forward to their return next April!

I had only two hummers this summer. Both are gone now. I hope they've migrated and have a place down south to go to.

I love how they bathe with such gusto! And that bossy one at beginning was so funny - “I’m using it now, get out!’ 😂

Tufted titmouse are such an adorable little bird. They have 'mouse' type eyes and a beak which looks like a nose!

They are so cute. And they’re very active and inquisitive. They like to keep an eye on whatever I’m doing outside - and offer commentary 😄 Thanks for watching!

Always enjoy your videos. It’s been a very strange year here in Texas. We’ve had no real measurable rain since July and we never get rain in July. It’s so dry here you’d think the birds would be all over my little pebble pond but that’s not the case and most of the birds that visit it just get a drink and don’t bathe. Usually by this time of year we’ve heard the ducks and geese fly over and we’ve heard none and just haven’t seen any migrating birds to speak of. I will still keep my eye out as you just never know when you will have a new visitor. Forecast here today is a 101 so will keep an eye out for birds in the pond trying to escape the heat. Have a great day!

Wow. Over 100 degrees in October. Yikes. I’m surprised your birds aren’t getting in the water. But your climate is so different than mine, maybe birds behave differently there? You don’t have any hawks or other predators around, do you? Do you ever look at the live migration maps on Cornel Ornithology Lab’s Birdcast pages? You might be able to tell if the migration pattern or timing in your area has changed. For us, you could really see that Hurricane Helene created a wall that the birds were not going to try and cross. Thanks for watching!

Weather is changing all over the United States. Here in Oregon, summer temperatures are now averaging 80-90 degrees day after day after day with little or rain from May to November. Oregon used to be known for rain, rain, rain. Now it's dry and brown. I can remember when reaching 100 degrees for one day all summer was it. I worry about the birds surviving.

I've heard hummingbirds have adjusted their migration routes to follow areas where the most people put out feeders for them. Some of those areas have major route alterations. Sorry, I can't recall the website where I found that, but it's possible to research and find out?

Ruby-crowned kinglet is a good bird name.

I started building my stream today! It is no small task. It cannot be done in a day. I will work on it weekends and I am predicting it will take at least a month to complete to my satisfaction. I am still very envious of yours hahaha! Also, that Hooded warbler is SO stunning. Thank you for sharing, as always.

Go for it! Get it as perfect as you feel you need to. My thought is that you'll need/want to upgrade, change, alter it after it's "done" to improve it or to correct some aspect you didn't foresee. That's how my projects, no matter what they are, usually go. Good luck, and remember to enjoy the process as well as the completed project.

How’s progress going? I did the tiny little mini pond in a day but the enlarged woodland stream version took about a week of working at it for 3 or 4 hours a day. Hauling rocks and bags of pebbles was by least favorite part 😄 Take your time. There’s a certain amount of testing and adjusting required to get the water flowing how you anticipate it to. You’ll get there - and you’ll be making some birds very happy 🙂

@@WarblerRidge I didn't have enough rocks and I need to buy some more river pebbles, but I have it laid out and running, which gives me a much clearer idea of what else needs to be done to it. I'm in no rush, and yes, hauling the rocks and bags of pebbles was pain-inducing for sure! I'm back to pain-free so I'm going to be doing it in small adjustments moving forward. My spouse and I are very excited!
