YAY! Happy Friday the 13th! I'm listening to Clancypasta vids on marathon while I await the Unus Annus live stream in about an hour and a half. Figured it was fitting for the "Momento Mori" theme~ Between Clancypastas and Unus Annus's deletion and the fact that I have today off to enjoy it all with a plate of pasta, this is a very perfect Friday the 13th ^___^

Yea i've taken multiple trips there, far more urbanized than this story would lead you to believe. Then again American writers all seem to think Ireland is made up entirely of pretty fields, bogs, forests, farmhouses and cottages

Listening to the first one as an Irish person all the inaccuracies just suck the immersion out've it, Gaeilge/Irish is the language, Gaelic is a sport lmao. And County Waterford has many towns large and small, this must've been written by a plastic paddy or something.

Actually, spent a good portion of my childhood growing up in Waterford. Went to school in Kilmacthomas. Irish parents. Learned Gaeilge, got pretty good at it as a kid before moving away, though not so much anymore lol. The original story had more Gaeilge before being removed from Reddit because one of the mods insisted that things be kept English. It ain't my bad how the obviously non-native reader Clancy interprets the story and its words haha

The second story is actually really sad 😞 The Health-Care system, especially in the U.S., is absolute SHiTE!! There’s people suffering every single day because they don’t have health insurance or they can’t afford their medications because the prices are ASTRONOMICALLY HIGH!! 🤬 It’s horrendous!!

I have a theory about the first story: The man in photo was a pervious owner of the house and lived a life of crime, and practiced ancient dark Gaelic magic from centuries past. Eventually the local citizens, clergy and constabulary banded together and put him 6 feet under and the land lady was herself was the granddaughter of the man
