Tymon used to be known for his slow turning style, but insanely efficient solving style, but 13 TPS is approaching Ruihang/Kyle/Yiheng level TPS while still being very efficient. I thought that no one had a chance at the point we are right now seeing that Yiheng holds over 80% of the sub-5 averages in the world now, but assuming this wasn't just a lucky day, and if it is the new norm for Tymon I have a feeling that Yiheng's dominant lead will be narrowing out. Edit: Haha, both of them are apparently going to the 2024 Rubik's WCA North American Championship in July with Max as well so we will get a rematch of the 2023 World championship podium!

Imagine, in 50 or so years, Tymon is an old grandpa. His grandkids one day would discover Rubik's cube. They come to him to brag they can solve it in 2 minutes. He takes the cube and solves it casually in 6 seconds.

i was at the comp and spoke to tymon for a bit in the morning and based on what he believes with the right scrambles he could do it but there is so much luck in it for him still, however he also believes he is still actively improving almost every week also apparently gan 5x5 is goated also i became friends with the ginger judge (i didnt get really close with him but spoke a good amount at the comp) and im friends with the 5th judge

Something I noticed at 5:44 is the blue red pair can be inserted using a U2 insert or a U’ insert with a different setup, but doing the next pair doesn’t give you eo if you use the U’ insert (you can sledge to get eo but still). I wonder if this was going through Tymons mind when he inserted with U2 rather than U’.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tymon goes back to full color neutral at some point. The likely reason he's even doing white and yellow is because he's still learning how to read into F2L in inspection, so once he gets good at hit I'd imagine he'll go back to full color neutral Edit: How did you pull off hearting this in like 30 seconds???

tymon isn't close to Yiheng Wang at all. Yiheng Wang has 10 official averages faster than 4.84. And Yiheng wang recently had a competition where he had 3 rounds of 3x3 and he got a sub 5 average in every round his averages were 4.96, 4.84, and 4.91 that is a 4.90 mean of 3 for the competition.
