This is a dangerous trio that warrants more tracks and live dates

Johnny Costa was probably the most influential pianist in my life. A genius who did not dumb anything down for us as little kids listening to and absorbing amazing jazz every day growing up. Fred Rodgers gets a lot of credit for insisting on having amazing music played live on his show

I think there are still a lot of people out there, who don't understand what a phenomenal composer Fred Rogers was. It's a big part of how he got Johnny Costa, and how well they worked together. Thank you for this awesome rendition!!!

Wait, I'm gonna cry 😭 Mr. Rogers was such a shining light and so kind and his show was such an important part of my life and a show of kindness despite living in a house that was anything but. 😭

It's you I like, It's not the things you wear, It's not the way you do your hair But it's you I like The way you are right now, The way down deep inside you Not the things that hide you, Not your toys They're just beside you. But it's you I like Every part of you. Your skin, your eyes, your feelings Whether old or new. I hope that you'll remember Even when you're feeling blue That it's you I like, It's you yourself It's you. It's you I like.

Like most of us I LOVED watching MRN as a kid on summer holidays, school vacations, PA & sick days. As an adult I don't sleep well. One really bad night while his show was still airing new episodes I got out of bed around maybe 1-3 AM & started channel surfing & happened upon an airing of a new episode. I got comfy & watched it along with a wonderful animated Canadian kids show called Katie & Orbie (Leslie Nelson was the narrator.) I went back to bed after & fell asleep almost immediately. The world could sure use a little Fred Rogers right now !!

This is beautiful. I always thought it was s bit weird that I loved this song when Fred Rogers sang it to my kids. They watched and listened, entranced. I may have shed a tear ... and I remembered the whole thing start to finish all these years later. "I hope that you remember, even when you're feeling blue, it's you I like." Thanks for the memories, Scary Pockets and Friends, and RIP Fred.
