The player had to take the initiative to go to the sheriff's office, even though the game doesn't instruct you to do so, and when you get there, despite having walked away from the event around a minute ago, you're given the option to continue the event. Not to mention the fact that she has sage in her pocket and she's a prostitute. There's a clever connection there too, but I wouldn't expect anyone who names themself after Andrew Tate to have the IQ to comprehend something so subtle.

@@ZedsDemise420 its better that rockstar makes all these series. they will learn lessons with each title. and the fact that rdr2 had this much detail means they understood where they went wrong with GTA 5 DESPITE it selling so many copies. I think GTA 6 will show exactly what i mean when they apply the rdr2 style of open world (open-ended and highly detailed with in-depth interactions between the player and the world that can happen outside of missions). GTA 5 only had pizazz when a mission was going on. otherwise, the open world was pretty boring. you can only race, do stunts, look for a Ufo, and get 5 stars so many times before you get glassy eyed. the convo system from rdr2 was in the gta 6 leaks too. im so ready for GTA 6. havent been excited for gta in a long time but i just know they learned a lot making rdr2. i also think online is a necessary evil. it allows them to make all this money which funds that perfectionism the studio is known for. none of this happens without huge amounts of profit.

I wouldn’t want that, initially. I mean it would make for interesting situations in gaming. You see they got a ChatGPT mode of Skyrim, but also, I think it would ruin the art of serendipity. Given the fact that the developers work extremely hard to give you so many little scenarios to discover, and Easter eggs to find. I would hate to see that hard work, attention to the little finer points of detail, and polish decline because of A.I. integration. I know it’s coming though. Not here to stop it. Just think it’s a step back for developers in companies like Rockstar.

Press X to report crime... I'm not surprised it took you 5 years. This game loves to pick and choose when you can & can't RP. It seems like everytime I get a random encounter like this I get a bounty for killing someone trying to kill me with no way of explaining what happened, you just have to surrender and it feels like if I'd have brought a Sheriff to an extra body like in this clip they'd start opening fire on me. For example I'm replaying and on on Chapter 2, the dodgy dealing room behind the doctor is impossible to report or loot without getting a bounty. You can't break the window to go through the back, you can't open the door without the doctor and you can't loot a key off him so you have to gunpoint rob the doctor so he opens up the door which OBVIOUSLY scripts in 5 people in there and even if you throwing knife everyone before a gunshot, you will still get a bounty without fail. There's also the safe which can only be blown up, there is no way of interrogating whoever owns it for the code... I reloaded this interaction 5+ times trying to find the magic way Rockstar intended me to play it out but just hit a brick wall each time before Reddit confirmed you just have to get a bounty to loot that so ended up just leaving it. In isolation, clips like this make the game look so intricate and complex as if it has scripted out every outcome but it only does this on some of the interactions and quests whilst most of the quests only have a yes or no choice making playing the game so frustrating because its ropleplay mechanics are so hit or miss. Sorry for the rant, the clickbait got me.

Every time I see a RDR2 video I get an urge to play it. But when I do the sluggish and cumbersome controls make me stop again. Rockstar games always have these convoluted laggy controls for some reason. What wrong with the trusted: x=jump square=reload/activate triangle=switch weapon, hold triangle=bring up weapon wheel circle=sneak, hold circle=prone left stick=move, press left stick (L3) is run right stick=look around, press right stick (R3)=melee. Left trigger (L2)=aim Right trigger (R2)=fire d-pad=select gear shoulder buttons L1 and R1 can be game specific functions It's like the universal way to control a character in a videogame, why do these guys have to over complicate that s***. tap x to run, really?
