It took one hour to repot over 40 Haworthia and Haworthiopsis plugs

I just ordered some of the bonsai gritty mix for some indoor succulents. For outdoor ones you suggest to use 1 part coconut coir and 1 part pumice. You don’t add any type of soil? A lot of mine will be outdoors in SoCal and the soil they are in now is so compact (store brand.). I want to repot them all in the best soil. Thx

I also use gritty mix outside. I've not used pumice and coir together before. Occasionally I will add coconut coir to my gritty mix of I want it to hold more water. Otherwise though, I use the gritty mix just as it is. A lot of it comes down to personal preference and the "micro climate" your plants are in. We have several club members who prefer adding more organic material to the gritty mix so they don't have to water quite as often. If what you had on the past was working, I would do something similar but make it a bit more gritty so it doesn't compact as much (which will eventually cause problems for the roots). Not very much. I wasn't every very precise with it. Maybe 1 part coir to 6 parts gritty mix. The amount you add is up to you, just make sure the soil is dry all the way through before you water again.
