I will never get tired of hearing biggie stories……i have watched everything about him…..at 38 years old i was 12 when he died it took about 4 years before i started to understand him and another 4 years after to be able to comprehend……big was so advanced til this day im like aint no way a 25 year old man wrote all of that!!! So thats how i know he was a genius because til this day those biggie records sound the exact same way they did the first time i heard them

This story about P. Diddy etc in Trinidad is absolutely 💯 true. I was producing tracks with my buddy R.I.P. Kyle Vernaqular/Sef Gaines Perreira! We both limed (hung out) with Diddy, Aaliyah, 112, and producers Derek and Doug! We actually went to club Coconuts in the limo! It was bananas to be hanging out with all those guys!

This, and “F-ing You Tonight” for me. But it makes sense to me that Biggie didn’t like those smooth Playa tracks at first. It seems like a lot of the rappers from that era didn’t think you could be hardcore and still make those kind of records. Carl definitely took that to the next level, though!
