For those stating she started her channel when she was an adult, she was at the end of her teenager years when she started. She was 19 years old if I believe correctly. Nineteen. Do you see the teen behind the nine? Therefore, she was still considered a teen. However, most of her youtube career was during her twenties. Which is still a very tough time to go through social media in. Especially when that period of time usually includes: finding your career or deciding which career path you're going down, schooling (college, university, trade etc.), where are you thinking of settling down, dating more seriously/playing the field, managing adult friendships/relationships, discovering what kind of adult you are, learning to pay taxes, file taxes, buying/rents things, etc. The list goes on. She isn't taking away from the teenagers who actually are growing up in this social media age, she was asked about her experience and she shared it.

Smelly Nelly the word “teenager” is just another term for adolescence, and the reason why “teenager” became a term is because it implies that is in the age of the teens, 13 to 19 years old. Furthermore, adolescence is the time of a persons life when the body is still developing, and in more recent studies, they have come to establish that the body doesn’t stop developing until the age of 23 and even 25, therefore is now considered an adolescent up until the age of 23. So yes, it’s pretty safe to say that Zoe, and every other person, at the age of 19 are still a TEEN! In America you cannot drink until you’re 21, even though you do become a legal adult at 18, you’re not considered a fully matured adult until years later. Bye!
