Then what is the Village, if not a HOA? It pisses me off when HOA's or whatever the Village is, acts like they're police or DOT, and tries to govern someone's cars. The house number missing I get, and I believe you can explain that easily in person as you're protecting yourself and your neighbors in videos. But the car complaints is bs.

It sat and got rather dusty as it would only get moved for short 5 minute drives in between me fixing it up. One of my nosy neighbours at some point reported it as abandoned/stolen and I had a nice phone call with the cops. Ironically the dude that came out was a big fan of it with the k-swap, forged wheels & body kit that I had put it on it and even came out for a rip with me under the guise of showing that it ran. Buddy liked it as much as I did and said not to worry about it and that it would get sorted. Never got another notice of complaints in the next 8 months it was out there lmao. I always laugh when nosy neighbours get prissy about cars being worked on though, I can't remember a day where I was outside wrenching on shit and I didn't have at least one neighbour come up to me with a question or ask If I could do some paid work for them. I have an HOA and I've never had an issue with them. Have a car in my driveway that hasn't really moved in 4 years. I have heard horror stories of some HOA's. Glad mines cool. I think one of your neighbors don't like you and said something.

Tbf in my country anyone in charge of such written accusations would quickly end up with his face "fixed" sooner or later if the rules were not violated. This is straight up harassment.

Reminds me of the HOA that threatened foreclosure on a guy for having an old truck with a patina

Yeah they called you out. Just prove everything is up to code and they can't mess with you. Anything that looks like it might devalue the homes in your neighborhood, they take issue with.

After living in a house with an HOA and moving to a new house without one, I will never go back to an HOA.. until HOA starts paying rent/mortgage they shouldn't be able to say anything about our property and whats on it

it's a neighbor issue, someone that lives near you is upset, they are usually easy to spot, what goes around goes around, find out whom it is, then do to them what they do to you but X2😎
