There are several scriptures that associates God with fire; Hebrews 12:29 says for our God is a consuming fire, just to mention a few. Between Jesus, Moses and Elijah, I will believe all of them because they are all associated with God although pay attention to Christ. The Bible was not given to one man to interpret.
