I believe that if you break the rules on the final turn that checkmates the opponent, that’s still a mission accomplished. If your goal is to steal a gem and the rule is that you have to do it without the guards hearing, but the guards hear you after you picked up the gem because you blew up the wall, the escape driver is already there and you escaped and therefore completed your mission.
