This card is unaffected by Spell cards. While you control "The Sanctuary in the Sky" and you have higher LP than your opponent: This card gains ATK/DEF equal to the difference. And oh boy, is it a huge one

Logical question: Why did you NOT Raigeki before combat? You know, when the "Immune to spell cards" monster was face down. LOL!

Hindsight is 20/20 but generally, you want raigeki to be played with as much value as possible (i.e. destroying full boards, baiting negates, removing boss monsters, etc.). Personally, the only situation I'd raigeki 1 monster as a first action is if the opponent has a small hand, barely any backrow, and no potential GY plays, and I'm confident that I can win that turn. What could potentially happen when you raigeki 1 monster, is that if you're unable to win that turn, the opponent could set up a large board on their next turn and you'd have 1 less resource for board removal. What happened in this duel was that after Cyber Dragon Core was played, Spooky Dogwood was chained, so playing raigeki to remove a single face-down monster while the opponent farms LP (ensuring another turn) seems like a waste of a card because you're getting the lowest value out of it
