Good crop of Irish sun flowers (dandelion) in the field Adrian . Cows eat them to the clay. They're high in calcium and may lower cell counts due to antimicrobial properties. Bees feed off them as they are one of the first plants to flower in the year. The best sort of multi species sward.

You can do something about the ivy. Cut the stems near the base and the ivy up the trees will die and in time fall off as it dies. We had some stems so big they made good firewood which produced interestingly,h. a blue flame. Having done this, no further trees on our farm were felled by the winter storms.
