Nice fitment of your cover! I like your high quaility of Work! Finally a guy with a truck that is nice, fitting a modern engine in it like me! BTW we are neighbors in KC.

Thank you. I may go overboard a lot of the time, but I want it to look like it came from the factory like this or at least something close to factory.

Loved this series of videos for the A/C as this is in the future of my C10 as well. Amazing how these projects get away from you and suck of so much time and money. Good job and attention to detail. It turned out real nice in the end!!!

What ac bracket and ac compressor are you running? I have a lower mount ac that want to put it up top
@RustyWrenches4 ай бұрын
It's a Sanden compressor and Dirty Dingo mount.
@scoobysnack59532 жыл бұрын
Not sure it will work but might want look at 3M 2228 Mastic Tape for the grommet gaps. It's about 1/8" thick but very plyable. Thanks for posting all your build videos its a great resource.

Want to hear how loud the fan blower is inside the cab at different speed selections Moving it all inside the cab … interesting to know
@RustyWrenches4 ай бұрын
Well, not having AC before and never really using the heat, it was significantly louder. It did take some getting used to. It has a slight high pitches noise the motor makes at certain speeds that bugs my ears every once and a while.

Is that a trinary switch around the 4 minute mark?
@RustyWrenches11 ай бұрын
I do have a trinary switch installed on the dryer. I wasn't sure if the ac pressure switch was going to work or not, so it was there as a backup. The switch I am holding at the 4:00 mark is the GM pressure switch used to tell the ecm when to turn the fans on.

Great set of videos, I'm in the process of a similar task and have a question. How much room do you have on the passenger-side valve cover? I have the CCP swap kit and was wondering if the trans mount goes into the stock frame holes?
@RustyWrenches2 жыл бұрын
I’d say there is probably 4-5 inches between the valve cover and firewall. I set the engine back as far as I could to give plenty of room for the rad and fans. I used a Early Classic Enterprises trans mount and I had to drill new holes for it. Thanks for watching!!

Great video and Awesome Truck. I'll be doing Vintage Air in my C10 shortly and planning to do the same as you and add a pressure sensor and have it control the Fans and bump the idle. Hopefully it will work the same on mine, I have a 6.0L out of a 2001 2500 silverado. I assume you still only have the 3 wires from the pressure sensor connected from A/C to the PCM? I assume you had to set the Type Fitted under System>A/C>Hardware in your tune file to Analog?
@RustyWrenches Жыл бұрын
This is where it gets foggy. There is so much misinformation out there. What caught my eye was in HPTuners I noticed that it had pressure settings I could set for the fans. That’s what gave me the motivation to try the sensor. I didn’t change any other settings other than the pressure settings to make it work. According to BP automotive, the type fitted doesn’t apply to non stock applications ie swaps. Hope it works for you. It makes it a seamless install.
@joshlarsen3260 Жыл бұрын
@@RustyWrenches Thanks for the reply. Looks like the T fitting it out os stock so once thats in I'll buy it and the pressure sensor and hook it up and test it with shop air. Worst case its easy to change the Type Fitted if it doesnt work right for me the first time. Maybe Type fitted is only related to controlling the compresor.
