I saw him live a couple weeks ago . He sang pretty well for a guy who will 76 in a month . It’s a physical thing . Not many people in their mid to late 70s sing consistently well . I call how he’s singing now “ old guy’s singing .” It’s too monotonous . THAT SAID , he really showed some range a couple of weeks ago . There were several times when he rose above his “ old man singing “ and hit some notes I’m not even sure he could’ve hit at 25. He sure was better than Paul McCartney, bless his heart, a couple of years ago . Only a Beatle could’ve gotten away with that singing . When I saw Paul 20 years ago, in his early 60s, he sang really well. Your voice just goes to pot generally in your 70s, and definitely in your 80s.
