There are too many students jumping classes like that. I know one of the girls who immigrated from Ethiopia to Canada before finishing grade seven. They had given an academic assessment and put her in grade 10, so she became one of the top honorary students in the school. She graduated grade 12 with an A-plus academic record. It's a matter of devotion, paying attention, and studying at school.

I take great pride in speaking Amharic, and I hold a Master's degree with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
