Do not trade what you don’t understand?????? I traded CFD and I made money not a lot BUT. Do it small to get your head round it , it’s gambling but it definitely keeps you interested and on your toes

I'm puzzled: If the margin requirement is 0.5% why the initial deposit is 500 and not 335? and why the ROI is 207% and not 200%?

......unless the market gaps overnight and falls through your stop price. This has happened to me and where additional risk is if you leave positions open over night or on weekends. It can gap overnight on market sentiment , announcements etc and increase your losses.
