If Tsukuyomi lands game over for minato, Minato is fastest because of his flying rajjin techniques but Itachi can literally use his genius shuriken jutsu to counter all kunai marks attacks by attacking multiple shuriken at once. Minato himself said he's weak in sage mode and he can't handle it . Both totsuka blade and Reaper death seal has ability to seal souls but if minato uses Reaper death seal it's end for Minato while Itachi can literally use Totsuka blade and seal and survive. There's also Izanami which can't be avoided even if you close your eyes and have perfect sage mode as we saw it worked on perfect and powerful sage user kabuto who literally closed his eyes to avoid Tsukuyomi effects. So there are many many things which can be problem for Minato. He literally has to close eyes while fighting, he can't get close to itachi because he will counter it will shuriken jutsu. And iznamai works on close eyes. Bro so I'm not saying minato doesn't have chance because he is genius too but it wouldn't be easy for either of them.

That would be amazing fight . Both have Genius battle IQ, Quick thinking, both are great strategiest. If both of them know eachother's abilities then Minato will try to make this battle long, while Itachi will try to end it in short time. Question is Who is more clever? -Minato needs to avoid eye contact and somehow mark itachi somewhere along the fight and use multiple kunai to do nonstop suprise attack using flying rajjin jutsu and land Rasengan or seal itachi or send him somewhere dangerous place like he did to kyubi, but the problem is Itachi is genius in Shuriken jutsu. He would probably throw his own kunai attack to not let minato come close. Trump Card : Flying rajjin and Reaper Death seal - Itachi needs to avoid flying rajjin kunai with his amazing shuriken jutsu techniques and somehow manage to land Tsukuyomi or Amaterus on minato . Trump card for Itachi: Tsukuyomi and Izanami If Minato use Reaper death seal i think Perfect counter for it is Susanoo with Totsuka blade and yata mirror Now again the question is Both totsuka blade and Reaper death seal has ability to seal soul. So who can land first? So if itachi lands the hit, Minato’s soul would be sealed within the Totsuka Blade's genjutsu, and he would be trapped for eternity. On the other hand, if Minato manages to invoke the Reaper Death Seal first, he could attempt to seal Itachi’s soul. However, since Totsuka Blade is an unbreakable seal and even affects immortals (like Orochimaru), the Reaper Death Seal might not be able to seal Itachi’s soul if he’s sealed by the Totsuka Blade first, as his soul would be trapped by it. But the problem is it is sure end for Minato if he uses Reaper death seal while Itachi can live even after using totsuka blade. = So conditions for Minato to win : Avoid Eye contact, land mark on Itachi, Use Trump card and land Reaper death seal before Itachi counters it with Totsuka blade and yata mirror. = Condition for Itachi to win: Avoid all Flying rajjin kunai with His brilliant Shuriken jutsu, Try to land Tsukuyomi, Izanami and use Totsuka blade to counter reaper death seal and use it first. So i think both are battle geniuses and fight could go either way so i would give both 50/50 chance .

Jinchuriki cannot break their host out of Tsukuyomi. This is because of how quick Tsukuyomi occurs within the real world and the fact that no one without a Sharingan can break out of it regardless. Naruto noted this when he and Bee were fighting Itachi and Nagato

might aswell throw this here, but genjutsu does work on jinchuriki. chapter 549 has bee caught in Itachi's normal genjutsu so Tsukuyomi does work. (just wouldn't hit Minato since he would sense the chakra being built up and tp before it hits or send a shadow clone and have itachi waste it like Kakashi did)

Animation quality is fantastic, the theme the of the fight not so much. Minato doesn't have access to Kurama's mode without the Reaper's jutsu which basically killed him. A more accurate fight would be Edo Minato vs Edo Itachi to see them go all out. Technically this is a fight in which alive Minato cannot win, due to Itachi's counter to his best teleportation speed which is recording the fight with crows and using Izanagi/Izanami to end it. On the other hand edo vs edo, they are equal since it comes down to who seals the other first. Genjutsu is no longer an option for Itachi while Minato has Kurama, and the fight ends with either Totsuka blade sealing or Minato's seals. Izanagi/Izanami also have a weakness, which is not exactly portrayed, and that is if the target is aware of the jutsu, it can disrupt that recording sequence with constant chakra release or loss of sight from the object of recording the pocket dimension of the caster.

He did it to kisame as well in (Naruto storm generations) Minato wouldn't be a problem.

Actually in the case of tsukuyomi, the tailed beast cant help much, just because in the real world it happens very fast, like 1 milisecond or less (in the novel it specifies it). If it were a regular sharingan/mangekyo genjutsu it would work for edo minatocause he has kurama befriended (like bee breaking out of sasukes mangekyo genjutsu).
