It's honestly genius to make the most stupid shonen trope into an actual requirement for the technique to work properly, it's a great way to do exposition without it being dumb.

@@AAAEA010its basically like a restriction. If you reveal your technique it tells your enemies what you can do, theoretically handicapping you, but in exchange your technique works better and more efficiently. It's a binding vow with oneself to make your technique stronger.

@@AAAEA010 its kind of an equivalent exchange thing where one places a binding vow on oneself by giving out info advantage to the opponent by giving out how your technique works but in return you get your technique having maximum output with normal amounts of cursed energy

@@kimchi_05 @Jenk1n2 I'm familiar with this trope it's like what kurapika did in hxh but I still don't get how something can come from nothing.. How does a vow with oneself create energy? What or who's providing that power? I get there's a suspension of disbelief in shows like this but saying it makes sense doesn't add up to me..

Ngl Todo is definitely one of the best Written character in JJK, Gege mades his first apperance as some dumb character who asks ppl about their type. Bro got us laughing when he says something about his IQ, and later Gege proves that Todo's really is THAT smart when it comes to Battle IQ One thing that i really like is that He didnt Reveals his Technique Out loud to his enemy unlike most of Shonen Characters does 😭

if you ever got hit around or at collar bone, you'll know how hurt it is. If you ever got hit by chop kick, you'll know it's immense pain. I've never hit at collar bone by chop kick. I experienced both separately, when I saw that scene, my leg turn jelly really quick.
