That's where we first found the Mondial, Mark. My son got his in September and hasn't stopped discovering new sounds from it. Buying a couple new amps at Christmas to maximize the Italia's capabilities. Good luck!

@kentuckychromedesign My guess is that the piezzo goes straight to the mixing console and the humbuckers go to the amp (via the pedalboard, wich includes a volume pedal). Note the two jacks outputs on the guitar.

my rig has the mondial classic and an excelsior is my main amp. it's very jack white sounding with a fuzz and a mild delay. I love it so far, but with the excelsior a noise supressor might be needed for certain distortions/fuzzes

he says its got alnico 5 pickups, which are pretty hot, they arnt crazy gain-y and you wont get active EMG sounds, but im sure they would hold up with some good distortions.

Andy, Were you using a specific pedal, or amp combo to get the tone at 3:40 (an later) for the slide parts? That is perfectly distorted and I would love the recipe! I just ordered one in black at PGS in Portland at the store last weekend and I can't wait to get it!

Great sounding guitar, looks sexy and really cheap for what you're getting! My only complaint about it might by the "Mondial" metal plate on the pickguard - doesn't it bother your playing if you're one of those players (like me) that likes putting one finger on the pickguard while picking?
