It was a very strange game for sure. The Axis kept on handing the Allies defeat after defeat after defeat. The Allies were disastrous and had heavy losses and lost a lot of tanks and mechanized units..... and still they somehow managed to create a huge army to storm the Axis and win. I don't know if they were scraping the barrel or if they managed to beat Japan beforehand~

Yup. It's such a nice change of pace from "make frontline, win". Like, I've rarely built full AA at a strategic level on a tile outside of a capital city but even one or two on a tile can really mess with Strat bombers. I like how it's not "bombers destroyed or routed" but is said as "bombers disturbed". "Oh god, that AA is annoying, ya know what? Screw you guys, I'm going home.".

@@warhawk2976 You wish lol. In real life, the US alone produced more planes in 1944 than Japan did from 1939 to 1945. By 1943, the Allies replaced all ship tonnages lost since 1939. In 4 years, the US almost fully motorized its army while helping its Allies to do the same. The Axis in relied heavily on horses till the end of the war. HOI already buffed the Axis by giving them a chance, when in reality the Axis never really stood a chance.

The fun bit is that as far as I understand it, +40% agility for strats would actually make them worse. They have next to no base agility, and because your agility also determines the maximum bonus enemy fighters can get for having more agility than you, you're actually giving them a greater agility bonus.

My friends and I had two amazing games. One time we were the Axis and we went Full-Strat bomber. I think Hungary went Heavy Fighters. But we destroyed the allies pretty easily. We still lost just cause we focused way too much on Strats and not on ground. Another time though we were the allies and did the same Strat. Germany died within a couple years. Then we went to war with Russia soon after. Russia was so mad. I remember hearing the Germany player making fun of Russia. Russia was just having a field day with no factory Germany. Now they are the ones with no factories.
