I got this for Xmas from my brother and absolutely love it. Only thing I would say is using the pocket clip I went pull it out and it opened in my pocket poking my finger real good. I now just carry it upside down and works well

While carrying this in the knife pocket within the leg pocket of my on duty pants (Bundeswehr) with the pocket clip, it opened up a bit to where I sliced my finger all the way open reaching for it.

Rachel, Truly sorry to hear this- my guess is those extended guards caused it to open slightly (I wish they were a tad smaller) Are you doing alright? Any stitches? Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I heard that some production lots came out with the blade that hit the spacer issue,but if you contact extrema ratio they will change it for a new one

@@tacticaltavern it have life lasting warranty so doesn’t matter how long ago you bought it…the only thing that you have to send it back wait for it to be checked and to be sent back,so you have to be without knife for a bit ,but I believe it worth the struggle after what it cost 😅

@@tacticaltavernI just ordered for myself the bd2 lucky desert and i had already the bf0 which I love…mostly for how it’s easy to keep it sharp… if kept with a sharp edge after few hit on the strope it’s razor sharp again…and if the edge is more dull it will take just a few more hit on the whetstone

For those who do own one, it is possible to grind away the part of the liner that causes the issue? Also, as a KZbinr, how do you feel about KZbin changing every viewers name from their nickname to their actual KZbin email address? Me aka canada&free.

I'm a student of Kali have been for years, I've owned and carried all kinds of high end knives, but the knife I carry the most for selfdefense is the cold steel counterpoint 4 inch.

@@tacticaltavern the Aus 10 steel and grind, also the size and grip shape outside of all that the price was right for an everyday carry selfdefense blade, if I carry another folder its usually a benchmade 417 fact or an Al Mar Sere, fixed blades I'll carry are usually the Fred Perrin street bowie in a custom sheath with an ulticlip or the Street Scalpel 2.0 from Tops knives.

That blade chipping issue is enough for me to not want to buy it, why would I spend $180 on a knife that breaks under the normal function of closing.

David, That is a totally fair point! I am going to take a Dremel and hollow out the pillar a bit just in case it snags shut again but other than that small issue its a great knife! Maybe they will enhance the design with a version 2.0!

I faced the same chipping problem, resharpened it. Now avoiding fast closing but yeah, it is annoying. Other than that i really like the knife.

Serrations are horrible, the handle is slippery and not very comfortable, the clip is mounted too high (the knife rides too deep in the pocket), the edge touches on the pillar if you thighten your grip on the closed knife (if you want to use it like a kubotan, for example), the guards are big and the knife can accidentally open, never carry this knife IWB in the appendix position (at least they act like a real guard when the knife is open). Other than that it is a good modern interpretation of the italian stiletto. The size is perfect.

I do agree those are some modifications I would make to a 2nd generation version I do enjoy the idea and size too!

@@tacticaltavern Cold Steel should make a 5" blade version of the Ti-Lite, this would be a near perfect stiletto, IMO...

@@jerzy004berry9 I have two 4" Ti Lites and three 6" Ti Lites, but I would like they to make a 5" version like the ER Lucky, because I find this size to be the perfect one. 4" is too small, and 6" a little too big, for my tastes, of course.

It`s a DEEP CARRY knife, so the clip is mounted perfect! Had no problems with it so far in any of my pockets. You should inform yourself better before buying a certain knife, so you don`t have to complain too much afterwards. Handles are neither slippery nor uncomfortable. They are intentionally designed, how they are for a good reason. If you were experienced in knife fighting technics like me, you would probably know this. It`s not a toy for teenagers to play with, but a serious edged weapon for experienced men. PS.: if there is a problem with the tip/edge touching some inner parts, send it to Extrema Ratio and get a new one for free, no problem with that. For that you got a warranty with your knife, haven`t you? Sometimes, the problem is not in the knife, but between the ears of the user!
