Yes, and then your govt. is breaking your temples left right and centre and you people are not even protesting against that. So disappointing. If this goes on, I doubt, in the near future there would merely be handful of temples left. You should write to Home Ministry. P.S. I come from West Bengal where there is no such hugh temples. So please save your temples so that I can go and visit in future.

The sea in Chennai's marina beach is very rough and has strong currents, so people are barred from swimming in the waters. There have been 100s of deaths in these treacherous waters. It's good that you two didn't go for a swim. Generally there are beach patrols, but strangely they were absent when you went there. Take care and best wishes to both of you.

One thing I despise about Hinduism is that there are norms about people entering the temples you have to dress like this you have to be like this and so on,as if the gods really want this unlike Christianity all are welcome.no matter what and they say that Hinduism is not a religion it is a way of life.
@optimize5089
@optimize5089 Жыл бұрын
You can't define Hinduism like that as there is a lot of diversity in the rules and customs as well. Some temples have some specific rules and customs whereas most temples have no restrictions. Many temples welcome all devotees and you can get a free meal as Prasad or Langar.

Marina is not safe for a dip, for that matter the entire coastline around that region. it gets deeper by every foot, unlike the western coastal beaches of india where itsn't deep so immediately and one can literally walk in by few 100 mtrs. i think thats because of earth's direction of rotation and the resulting corrosion .

Please understand your sub-consciousness automatically connects with the Supreme Energy in a temple, which is Your Soul which is connected to the fact of ONE & ONENESS IN ALL. THE SIVA in this Temple is formless Cosmic Energy which covers an Ocean of Wisdom.. ..which is the absolute Cosmic Energy Principles in Totality. What separates You, is the brain configured by life which is transitory incomplete knowledge which keeps life & thoughts in illusionary Imagination. Siva & Sivan has the true answers for what is life & its end, the reality. All exercise starts with Soul searching within You where SIVA & SIVAM unfolds all answers for seekers. SIVA & SUVAM BLESS YOU WITH WISDOM. 🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹

Marina Beach is not a safe place to swim. In fact, most of the Coronandel coast on the Bay of Bengal is not. Drowning deaths are quite common and frequent and the shoreline drops off pretty sharply plus rip tide danger is ever present on the Coromandel Coast. The Bay of Bengal is not a safe coast to swim and many people have lost their lives.

The truth why noone is in the water is because we Indians don't have beach culture. The essentials of beach culture needs 3 things : 1) Swimming - Indians are not taught swimming at all and surviving in water is not considered essential by indian society. It makes indians 100% terrestial animals. Besides 8 out of 10 indian moms fear that their child will drown in water and are even superstitious about it so never let their children goto a swimming pool or river or any kind of water body. Also Indian youth and couples are not the kind to take up surfing or swimming in the sea for fun. Sea is avoided as a fearful place where accidents occur. The schools, city or towns don't do anything to encourage swimming either as a form of sports to give people self-confidence like they do in lots of other coastal or island cultures. This fear is self-pertuating. In europe even land locked countries teach swimming in schools but seldom in India. The fear and swimming phobia is self-pertuating. You can hear it in Shrey's voice too when he says "guys I don't know swimming". 90% of indian males including myself say this out of fear of water or knowledge of swimming. 2) Beach wear - Because noone learns swimming beach wear is not part of indian outfits. Most are not dressed for the beach and don't know what to wear. Saree is not a good outfit to get into water especially if women wear petticoats underneath. Only urban indians who goto goa or abroad for vacation know about bikinis or beach skirts or beach shorts. 95% of indians don't have beachwear in their wardrobes or cannot afford it. 3) Beach culture - Beach culture somes from the west because beach is the place to get sun and slowly it became the place for white europeans to get tanned and enjoy the sun. Indians tend to be the opposite. They don't want their skin darkened as already have enough melamine especially in the south. Indians are pruddish about showing the body or skin and modest when it comes to showing legs let alone thighs and other parts. Beach culture is seen as very western thing and they don't associate sunbathing and looking cool with lots of skin as fun and even if they do they are too shy and self-aware in a conservative beach crowd. As a result beach is a place to just enjoy the breeze bond with family and place to eat. Its still lot of fun but not the kind of beach culture one experiences in rest of the world I wish India does something to change this culture and learn from countries like Brazil and Thailand.
