I am 53 years old man from Cuba and I am a very good one cooking homemade Cuban traditional food, I am a nobody if compared with the Cuban grandmothers in the kitchen cooking the good food, I take my hat off and kneel down before ALL the grandmothers in every country and salute them and give them my upmost respect because they are the ones who cook the food in every culture leaving that unforgettable taste that only the beloved grandmothers leave in the food the cook. No famous chef can equate himself in the secrets and art and personal touch of a grandmother cooking the homemade food in every country. My childhood was learning to cook from my nonna and listening to her singing in the kitchen. As Italians we are very blessed to have had a nonna in our lives. This recipe is such a classic in every Italian home and it smells so delicious on the stove. I'm making this for hubby and I tomorrow night and it's like having a little bit of Italy in the kitchen.
