Grazie a te! Ci fa piacere ricevere una domanda :) In generale restare e rimanere sono intercambiabili e hanno lo stesso significato. Si dice che rimanere sia più legato al tempo e restare al luogo, ma in fondo è una preferenza personale.

Il significato di rimanere è appunto, in genere, uguale a quello di restare. Possiamo dire: chi resta con me? Oppure: chi rimane con me? Il significato non cambia. A volte rimanere è percepito come più formale, ma si tratta di sottigliezze. In certe espressioni dove il verbo è seguito da un participio passato, si preferisce rimanere: il soldato è rimasto ucciso in battaglia.
