I’m glad someone sees the potential in the CBD! I don’t understand why South Africans are so uninterested in the CBD. This place is a gem waiting to happen, I just hate that it’s not me who’s buying buildings and property there 😂

That SA flag cladded building is one of my favourite...just because of the beautifully painted SA flag Welcome to SA, Michele. Absolutely correct, Joburg CBD is slowly but surely changing...We noticed this back in 2015 when we took the SiteSeeing Joburg bus. Stunning video as always, David

In the early to mid 2010's (to about 2017 or thereabouts) there really was a good revival and gentrification of that area of the CBD. But in the last few years things have taken a turn backwards again. I believe it is a testament to the failure of coalition governments such as the coalition governments over the last few years in Johannesburg, not being able to cooperate and to devise strategies to take the city forward.
@Sbudre5 ай бұрын
I pray your strategy pays off. That CBD really needs investment and intervention.

@sphethobuthelezi7195 ай бұрын
yep with the recent political changes we are seeing a shift from ideological/liberation politics to economy politics it might be wise to buy up property now as its cheaper this coalition with the DA will likely be government for the next 10 to 15 years even 2 decades as we have seen with cape town if it a success the rand will strengthen and property prices skyrocket in the next few years more people will come back and the DA wants a visa laws changes as one of its demands in the governments to allow more foreign workers to come into south Africa as remote workers and more the property market will be hot lets just hope when that happens government and private sector will also invest in low cost housing for the poor to be able to rent and buy

Hi, when will we come together as South Africans whether black, white, middle class or low-income and invest in CBD?
@PearlPrinces1005 ай бұрын
You're so right, we should come together as South Africans black and white - put our heads and hands together to reclaim and rebuild. If you go to places like Protea Glen in Soweto, you realise that what sets us apart is cleanliness, style, class and a taste for the finer things. The properties are not huge yet Mzansi folk go to great lengths to make their homes exquisite, inside and out. There should be a concerted effort to prioritise SAns for retail space acquisition/rental etc. Sakhumzi in Vilakazi Street should have city branches and the same goes for those posh taverns ekasi, they too should branch out to the city. We should get more SAns in the real estate industry too - we need to take control of our cities.

@@MusehanaH you clearly have no idea what you are talking about. No bank is going to give you their money unless you can provide the necessary security. Trust me, my investment property portfolio is just over R100 million and everytime I want a bond I have to provide 2 years audited financials AND on top of that I must still sign personal surety.
