I was fortunate enough to have done work on Steyn City property in 2017-2018..myself and my assistant was responsible to install the street names on each corner of each street ( it was a total of about 120 plus road name signs). As well as a sign at the equestrian side. It was awesome to see the exquisite designes of houses as well as the entire Steyn city in total.

@@nessevans5224 Yes, like many middle-income countries (Brazil) where there's a disparity between the rich and poor, SA does have a security problem in major cities like Joburg. However, most people do not live in gated communities here even if they can afford it, but, it does give extra peace of mind and most buy into the lifestyle on offer.

I don’t think anyone understands how large this place is! What was shown was maybe 10 percent of the actual estate. It’s literally a city. When you saw shots of green trees in the FAR distance, that was all part of the estate! I’ve been living here for about a year now and I’m still discovering new places. I’m going to need a few more years to go through it all 🤣 It’s honestly unlike any other estate in the country. It’s far ahead of its time. Douw Steyn is a genius 🤯
@jn89222 жыл бұрын
How do you feel living there? I'm assuming it's safe but is there a better class of person living there? Like is everyone respectful of their neighbours and the rules? Living there, do you feel protected from the horrors in SA?
@RR-ht9db2 жыл бұрын
@@jn8922 Yes it’s as safe as you can expect. You definitely can let your guard down once inside and it really does feel like another world - Not in the least Johannesburg with its associated issues. The security, like most things in the estate, is also on another level. I don’t feel like I’m in a lifeless city due to the size - it feels warm and connected. I can’t really explain it. And yes, for a lack of a better term, the caliber of people are quite different. Just seeing people around the estate, it’s quite evident. They’re pretty respectful all round, and not something I’ve experienced in other estates. One annoying thing though, is that people in the estate have mostly loud, crazy supercars or highly modified cars. And they make it known throughout the estate. It’s a sort of unspoken rule that if you have a supercar, you can drive it anyhow. There’s cameras all around but I guess people are rich enough to pay the tickets off 🤷♂️

@@keithjohnson5232 Between joberg & pretoria it's probably one of the largest man-made forests in the world if not the biggest. Why must he go see the townships because this video isn't about that? You just had to say something negative nje. Another thing you must know is that there's no expropriation of land that is gong to take place here. I assume you don't even stay in South Africa at the moment because if you were, you'd know what I'm talking about. $2M is not the minimum price to own a property here, there are some properties below that. You're one of the negative energy that we don't need in South Africa.

@@sompisiphinda1417 Im born on this land. Im from a Country called South Africa. Lowest point of Africa. I have been seeing the hole of this beautiful country. I speek 3 languages and I know Rich and Poor people. The point Im trying to make here is. This Video shows to South African people how somthing looks that is Synthetic plastic to ower land. To expensive to buy for a local citizen to be part of those fare and beyond. It dont make sense to build something so far out of normal spectrum. Only People from outside South Africa can buy n home there.
