This was an interval act in Melodifestivalen- Swedens national selection for Eurovision. We usually have better interval acts than actual competing songs 😂

This is from Melodifestivalen, Sweden's program to select out ESC song. It's basically a mini Eurovision, It's our version of your San Remo Festival, but solely aimed at finding our Eurovision song. This was the interval act in 2009, when Eurovision was held in Russia. The lyrics of the song is a mix of Swedish, English and Russian with lines like Nastarovja Lenin and Da Svedanja Putin.

The Russian embassy in Sweden got upset when they thought the song was based on Russian stereotypical elements......I can't understand that :) Russia then responded by making a song that was stereotypically Swedish, but it was definitely not as good as Grotesco's and was a flop.
